Trabajo completa las fiestas locales de 2027 para 39 municipios de León

The Territorial Labor Office of León, under the Territorial Delegation of the Junta de Castilla y León, has issued a complementary resolution completing the calendar of paid and non-recoverable local holidays for 2027 in the municipalities of the province that were not included in the initial list. The agreement is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of León (Boletín Oficial de la Provincia de León) no. 207, dated October 30, 2026, with the official reference BOP-LE-2026-207028. The regulation adds 39 municipalities to the current list and modifies three previously approved dates.

The resolution is based on the list established by the same body on July 20, 2026, published in the BOP of León no. 144, dated July 31, 2026. According to the text, new communications from city councils with their local holiday proposals have entered the office’s registry, therefore it is deemed appropriate to issue this complementary resolution “exceptionally.” The document invokes Article 46 of Royal Decree 2001/1983, of July 28, regarding the regulation of working days, special working days, and rest periods, and Article 4.c of Order PRE/813/2022, of July 1, which defines the functions of the territorial labor offices. The annex is an inseparable part of the resolution and occupies six pages of the provincial gazette.

Three corrections to the already published calendar

The agreement dedicates its second point to rectifying three holidays from the July resolution, with the following details:

  • Matallana de Torío: in Robles de la Valcueva, where it said August 16, it should say August 17.
  • Brazuelo: where it said August 17, it should say August 23.
  • Vegaquemada: in Candanedo de Boñar, January 22 (San Vicente) is maintained, and July 26 (Santa Ana) is added.

Municipalities incorporated into the complementary annex

The complementary annex lists the two annual holidays for each municipality and, where applicable, its districts (pedanías). Among the included city councils are Astorga, Balboa, Berlanga del Bierzo, Cabañas Raras, Campazas, Castilfalé, Castrocontrigo, Cea, Cistierna, Encinedo, Folgoso de la Ribera, Garrafe de Torío, Molinaseca, Murias de Paredes, Noceda del Bierzo, Puebla de Lillo, Puente Domingo Flórez, Reyero, Sabero, San Millán de los Caballeros, San Pedro Bercianos, Santa Colomba de Somoza, Santiago Millas, Sena de Luna, Soto de la Vega, Trabadelo, Valdefresno, Valderrey, Valle de Ancarés, Vallecillo, Valverde de la Virgen, Vega de Valcarce, Villablino, Villademor de la Vega, Villamañán, Villamol, Villaquilambre, Villares de Órbigo, and Zotes del Páramo.

Some examples of the established calendar:

  • Astorga: July 23, Festivity of Astures and Romans, and August 23, in honor of Saint Martha.
  • Balboa: July 19, Saint Marina, and September 8, La Encina.
  • Cistierna: May 28 and September 8.
  • Molinaseca: August 17 and September 8, Patroness of El Bierzo.
  • Villablino: August 17, Saint Roch, and December 4, Saint Barbara, for the entire municipality.
  • Valverde de la Virgen: October 5, Saint Froilán, for the entire municipality.
  • Santiago Millas: July 26, due to the transfer of July 25, and February 9, Carnival Tuesday.

Publication, notification and appeals

The third point orders the publication of the resolution and its annex in the Official Provincial Gazette and the notification of the agreement to the interested parties in accordance with Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure. The text warns that the resolution does not exhaust the administrative route: an administrative appeal (recurso de alzada) may be filed against it within one month from the day following its notification before the Territorial Delegation of León of the Junta de Castilla y León, in accordance with articles 121 and 122 in relation to article 30 of the aforementioned law. The document appears electronically signed on October 29, 2026, by Alonso Santos Pérez, head of the Territorial Labor Office.

The resolution completes the map of labor holidays for 2027 in the province and provides coverage for the municipalities that had been left out of the first list, so that companies and workers in those localities now know the two days of paid and non-recoverable rest to which they are entitled. It also corrects dates that could generate doubts in the creation of labor calendars and in the planning of municipal staff.
