The Official Gazette of the Province of Toledo number 153, of Thursday, 13 August 2026, publishes on page 3 the text of the Collective Agreement on Oils and Derived Products of the Province of Toledo 2026-2027, with agreement number 45000425011989. The registration, deposit and publication have been ordered by the Provincial Delegation of Toledo of the Department of Economy, Business and Employment of the Junta de Comunidades of Castilla-La Mancha, by resolution of 4 August 2026, and the agreement will be in force from 1 January 2026 to 31 December 2027.

The text has been negotiated and signed by the Provincial Association of Employers of Oil Industries and Derived Products, on the employers’ side, and by the trade unions USO, CCOO and UGT, on the workers’ side, and was submitted to the labour authority on 29 July 2026. The resolution, signed by the provincial delegate Julián Martín Alcántara, is based on Article 90.3 of Royal Legislative Decree 2/2015, approving the consolidated text of the Workers’ Statute Law; on Article 2 of Royal Decree 713/2010, on the registration and deposit of collective agreements, and on Article 9 of Decree 64/2025 of the Department.

Scope and validity

The agreement is provincial in nature and its conditions shall be mandatory and minimum for agreements entered into at lower levels, which may only improve them. Its functional scope covers the entire chain of the oil and derived products sector:

  • Olive oil mills, oilseed crushing plants, extraction plants, refineries, splitting plants and hydrogenation plants.
  • Soap factories, edible and industrial fats, oleins, stearins and fatty acids, distillates and glycerin distilleries.
  • Warehouses and branch offices for oil, fats, soaps or detergents, and bulk oil unloading stations.
  • Packagers, exporters and importers of oil and olives, olive dressers and olive wholesalers, and retailers exclusively selling oil and soaps.

The territorial scope extends to all workplaces located in Toledo and its province, and the personal scope excludes only board members and senior management staff. Upon expiry of its term, the agreement shall be automatically denounced and, until a new agreement is reached, it shall continue to apply in all its content.

Working hours and working time

The text sets a maximum annual working time of 1,784 hours for 2026 and 1,780 for 2027, with 24 and 31 December as holidays, and a standard working time of 40 hours per week and 8 hours per day:

  • Irregular distribution of up to 15% of the annual working hours, with 5 days’ notice.
  • Twenty-minute break for continuous working days and 22 working days of vacation (Monday to Friday schedule) or 26 (Monday to Saturday).
  • Overtime limited to 1 hour per day, 5 per week, 15 per month, and 80 per year.
  • Reduced working days of 6 hours and 20 minutes for tasks of particular hardship or severe weather conditions.

Wages and salary review

The wage tables in Annex I include a 3% increase for 2027. Some monthly base salary references are as follows:

  • Technical director: €2,510.70 in 2026 and €2,586.02 in 2027.
  • Administrative officer or drafter: €1,281.95 in 2026 and €1,320.41 in 2027.
  • Laborer: €1,143.30 in 2026 and €1,177.60 in 2027.

Article 38 provides for a review linked to the CPI: if the sum of the CPIs for 2026 and 2027 exceeds 6%, the 2027 tables will be revised by the difference, with a cap of 1.5%, and back pay will be paid. The remuneration chapter also includes:

  • Seniority pay of 5% after 3 years, 10% after 6, 20% after 11, 30% after 16, and 35% after 21 years of service.
  • Night, Sunday, and holiday supplement of 25% on the hourly wage plus seniority, and a supplement of 10% of base salary for toxic, arduous, or dangerous work.
  • Two extra payments (July and Christmas) of 30 days of base salary plus seniority, and a profit-sharing payment of 10% of the annual base salary.
  • Supplement of 100% of base salary plus seniority in the event of common illness, and accident insurance with coverage of €30,000.

With this registration, identified by verification code 2026.00003598, the olive oil and derivatives sector of Toledo has a closed wage and conditions framework until 2027, providing stability for the workforces of oil mills, refineries, bottling plants, and related activities, and setting the floor of conditions that no lower-level agreement may undercut.
