Teror convoca oposición libre para dos plazas de Auxiliar Administrativo

The Teror City Council has approved the rules and the call for the selection process to fill two positions for General Administration Administrative Assistant, included in the public employment offers for 2024 and 2025. The approval was formalized by Decree number 1468, with an electronic signature date of October 22, 2026, from the Mayor’s Office-Presidency, and the full text is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Las Palmas no. 131, of November 2, 2026 (announcement 3.534, reference 2.212.215). The selection system is an open competitive examination, and the file is processed as electronic procedure 2026-477.

The two positions are career civil servant status and are vacant in the municipality’s civil servant staff. Their filling is supported by the public employment offers of 2024 and 2025, published in the BOP Las Palmas of July 3, 2024, and December 1, 2025, and in the Official Gazette of the Canary Islands of December 16, 2025. The rules are published in full in the provincial gazette and on the municipal notice board and electronic office, while an excerpted announcement will be disseminated in the Official Gazette of the Canary Islands and in the Official State Gazette.

Subgroup C2 positions and up to an additional ten percent

The positions are classified within the General Administration Scale, Auxiliary Subscale, Group C, Subgroup C2, with the salary provided for in Article 76 of Legislative Royal Decree 5/2015, of October 30, which approves the revised text of the Law of the Basic Statute of the Public Employee, and the complementary remuneration of the current job position list. The functions correspond to administrative assistance tasks inherent to that scale and subscale.

Vacancies generated by retirement, death, permanent disability, and promotions between the approval of the rules and the initial publication of the final grades may be added to the call, with a limit of an additional ten percent of the total, in accordance with Article 70.1 of the Basic Statute of the Public Employee.

Twenty business days and a single fee of fifteen euros

The deadline for submitting applications is twenty business days starting from the day following the publication of the excerpted announcement in the Official State Gazette. The application must follow the model in Annex 2, available at the municipal electronic office and the Registry Office, and must be accompanied by a copy of the ID (DNI), the required academic degree, and the receipt of payment of the fee.

The fee is set at 15 euros for all groups and subgroups, in accordance with the fourth additional provision of Law 2/2025, of June 26, and the tax ordinance published in the BOP of June 17, 2026. Payment is made via simultaneous self-assessment upon application, under the concept “Pruebas Selectivas Ayuntamiento de Teror-Auxiliar Administrativo,” in any of the BBVA, Banco Santander, Cajas Rurales Unidas, or CaixaBank accounts detailed in the rules. No exemptions are foreseen.

Main requirements:

  • Spanish nationality, nationality of a European Union member state, or a state with free movement of workers.
  • To be at least sixteen years of age and not exceed the maximum compulsory retirement age.
  • Degree of Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO), School Graduate, first-level vocational training, intermediate cycles, or equivalent.
  • Functional capacity for the performance of the position; persons with a degree of disability equal to or greater than 33 percent may request adaptations of time and means.

Three eliminatory exercises: test, practical, and office automation

The competitive examination consists of two mandatory and eliminatory exercises according to the general statement of the rules, developed in three tests: a handwritten test of 50 questions with three alternative answers, in a time not exceeding 90 minutes and with a minimum of 3 points to pass; a handwritten practical test of two cases, with 90 minutes and a minimum of 5 points; and a second practical office automation test of up to two hours on LibreOffice or Microsoft Word and Excel, plus a typing test of less than ten minutes. Each exercise is graded up to 10 points and the final grade results from the average of the three.

The Selection Board is composed of a Presidency, a Secretariat, and three Vocals, with voice and vote, and cannot be constituted without at least half of its members. A minimum of 72 hours and a maximum of 45 calendar days must elapse between the end of one exercise and the start of the next.

Reserve list and positions for the 2027 and 2028 offers

Those who pass all exercises without obtaining a position will integrate a temporary public employment reserve list, managed according to the municipal regulations for lists. The list created on the occasion of electronic procedure 2023-5022 will remain in effect as a subsidiary until it expires. The rules also incorporate as additional positions those from the public employment offers of 2027 and 2028, with a maximum validity of two years, to avoid the appointment of interim staff.

The announcement is signed by the delegated councilwoman María Sabina Estévez Sánchez (delegation by Mayoral Decree of 08/10/2026) in the Town of Teror, on October 28, 2026. Against the terms, which exhaust the administrative route, an optional appeal for reversal may be filed within one month, or a contentious-administrative appeal within two months before the Contentious-Administrative Section of the Court of First Instance of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.

The call opens a route of access to local public employment in subgroup C2, the most common administrative entry level in city councils, and provides two positions that were already committed in the 2024 and 2025 employment offers. Interested parties must stay alert for the publication of the summarized announcement in the BOE, as the twenty-business-day period begins on that day and not from this provincial publication.
