Seville announces 71 vacancies and renews selection boards

Por FactBox Admin

The Seville City Council has announced selection processes to fill a total of 71 positions for civil servants, distributed among educators, social workers, administrative assistants, and general administration technicians. The four resolutions, signed on August 19, 2026, by the Director General of Human Resources, are published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Seville number 163, corresponding to Monday, August 24, 2026.

The announcements, processed by the Selection, Contracting, and Human Resources Management Service, not only open the calls for applications but also renew the composition of the qualifying boards for each process, following resignations submitted and the loss of career civil servant status due to retirement of several of its members. The authority is exercised by delegation from the Governing Board of the City of Seville, by agreement of October 4, 2024.

The announced positions

The positions originate from the ordinary Public Employment Offers (OPE) of 2021, 2022, and 2023, and are divided into four bodies:

  • 12 Educator positions (OPE 2021, 2022, and 2023), resolution no. 5496.
  • 7 Social Worker positions (OPE 2022 and 2023), resolution no. 5493.
  • 46 Administrative Assistant positions (OPE 2021, 2022, and 2023), via the competitive examination system, resolution no. 5494.
  • 6 General Administration Technician positions, internal promotion track via competitive examination-contest (OPE 2021 and 2022), resolution no. 5495.

Renewal of the qualifying boards

The resolutions accept the resignations of several board members, mostly due to grounds for abstention under Article 23 of Law 40/2015, of October 1, on the Legal Regime of the Public Sector, and dismiss those who have lost their status as civil servants due to retirement, in accordance with Art. 63 c) of Royal Legislative Decree 5/2015, the Basic Statute of the Public Employee.

Notable dismissals include those of Mr. Ignacio Pérez Royo (titular president in the educator and social worker processes) and Mr. David Martínez Ruiz (titular president for the general administration technician process). The new boards are presided over by Mr. Antonio Reina Montoya (educator and social worker), Ms. Cristina Iglesias Puértolas (administrative assistant), and Ms. Eva Sequera Maldonado (general administration technician), with Mr. Fernando Gómez Rincón serving as secretary in several of them.
