Riberos del Tajo calls for a local development technician

The Mancomunidad Riberos del Tajo has approved the call for the provision of one position for a Technician in Orientation and Prospection for Local Development, under a temporary employment regime, through a competitive examination system (concurso-oposición). The resolution, signed by president Mario Cerro Fernández on August 26, 2026, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Cáceres (no. 0165, August 28, 2026, Section I – Local Administration), with reference BOP-2026-4084.

The process is part of the Municipal Economic Collaboration Program for Orientation and Prospection for Local Development and the regulatory bases for subsidies for the hiring of Employment and Local Development Agents in the Autonomous Community of Extremadura. The hired personnel will carry out their work within the territorial scope of the municipalities that make up the Mancomunidad.

Contract Conditions

The hiring will take place during the term of the program, until June 30, 2027, with a workday of 25 hours per week in morning and/or afternoon shifts, from Monday to Friday, according to the needs of the service. A one-month probationary period is established.

  • Remuneration: €1,373.50 gross per month, including the proportional part of extraordinary payments.
  • Required qualification: university degree or bachelor’s degree (with homologation if obtained abroad).
  • Type B driver’s license, availability of a vehicle, and willingness to travel.
  • Accreditation of training in equality of at least 20 hours at the start of or during the program.

Requirements and Examination Fee

Applicants must have Spanish nationality, nationality of a European Union member state, or a state with free movement of workers, as well as the functional capacity to perform the tasks. Persons with disabilities are admitted under equal conditions, in accordance with Royal Legislative Decree 1/2013.

The examination fee is paid into account ES45 2103 7693 2200 3000 1334 at UNICAJA, with the following rates:

  • General rate: €31.90.
  • Unemployed rate: 50% of the general rate (proving unemployment at least three months prior to publication).
  • Disabled rate: 50% of the general rate (disability equal to or greater than 33%).

Selection Process

Applications shall be submitted to the Registry of the Electronic Office of the Mancomunidad within ten business days from the day following the publication of the announcement in the BOP. The process combines an examination phase and a merit-based competition phase.

  • Opposition phase: presentation and drafting of the Project Report (maximum 3 points) and oral defense before the Tribunal in a maximum of 10 minutes (maximum 7 points). A minimum of 5 points is required to pass.
  • Competition phase: assessment of training courses and master’s degrees (up to 2 points) and professional experience as an Employment and Local Development Agent or guidance and prospecting technician (0.20 points/month, up to 3 points).

The Qualifying Tribunal, of second category, will be composed of Administration personnel, a representative of the Junta de Extremadura, and the secretary of the Mancomunidad. In the event of a tie, the following order will be observed: greatest professional experience, the score of the opposition phase, and the training score.

The call, which exhausts the administrative route, may be appealed for reversal before the Presidency within one month, prior to the contentious-administrative appeal before the Contentious-Administrative Court of Cáceres within two months. The publication of the provisional and final lists of admitted and excluded candidates will be made on the notice board of the Mancomunidad’s electronic headquarters.
