Por FactBox Admin

The Executive Branch, through the Ministry of Governance and Territorial Development, approved in all its parts the statutes of the Prophetic Christian Church The Wedding of the Lamb and granted it the status of a legal entity. The decision is contained in Executive Agreement No. 077, published in the Official Gazette Volume No. 453 on October 6, 2026, with Registration No. F52089. Consequently, the entity is enabled to contract, acquire assets, and act formally before third parties.
The agreement was signed by Minister Juan Carlos Bidegain Hanania on April 27, 2026, in the district of San Salvador, municipality of San Salvador Centro, department of San Salvador. The Executive relied on Article 26 of the Constitution of the Republic, Article 34 numeral 06 of the Internal Regulations of the Executive Branch, Articles 542, 543 and following of the Civil Code, and Articles 3, 72, and 80 of the Law of Administrative Procedures. The file concludes that no provision contrary to the laws of the country was found in the statutes.
The process begins with minute number one, drawn up at six o’clock on April 7, 2026, at the church premises located in Colonia La Vega 1, lots 11 and 12, main street El Guayabo, in the district of San José Villanueva, municipality of La Libertad Este, department of La Libertad. The certification of the minute book was issued on April 14, 2026, by the secretary María José Alvarenga de Jurado.
A religious entity with a vocation for expansion
The statutes, consisting of thirty-four articles, create the church as an entity of particular and religious interest, of Salvadoran nationality, which may be abbreviated as ICPLBDC. It is constituted for an indefinite period and establishes its domicile in the district of San José Villanueva, with the authority to establish branches throughout the territory of the Republic and outside of it.
Among its purposes are preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ according to the Holy Bible, disseminating its principles through various means, elevating the spiritual state of its members, planning public events, and maintaining bonds of brotherhood with other churches and national or foreign organizations with similar objectives. Persons over eighteen years of age who request it in writing to the Board of Directors may become members, without distinction of race, creed, religion, or political ideology.
The founders and the first Board of Directors
The act of constitution was signed by six people, all of legal age and domiciled in the district:
- Dolores Cardona Widow of Soriano, president
- Juan Carlos Miranda Cerna, vice president
- María José Alvarenga de Jurado, secretary
- Josué Gabriel Tejada González, treasurer
- Karen Liseth Rodas de Soriano, first member
- Roberto Sánchez Escobar, second member
The Board of Directors is completed by those six positions, and its members are elected for four-year terms, with the possibility of reelection. If a new election is not achieved, the outgoing board may continue in office for up to six months.
Internal governance, assets, and dissolution
The General Assembly is the highest authority and may meet in person or virtually; it holds ordinary sessions once a year, requires 51% of the members for the first call, and resolves by absolute majority. The Board of Directors meets once a month, with a quorum of four members, and administers the assets according to the guidelines of the assembly.
The assets consist of member fees, donations, inheritances, legacies, and contributions from natural or legal persons, national or foreign, as well as the movable and immovable property it acquires and its income. Dissolution only proceeds by law or by agreement of an Extraordinary General Assembly with at least three-quarters of the votes; in that case, a Liquidation Board of five people is appointed and the remaining assets are donated to a charitable or cultural entity. Reforming the statutes requires 60% of the members.
Validity and obligations to the Governor’s Office
Article 34 provides that the statutes enter into force from the day of their publication in the Official Gazette, that is, with the edition of October 6, 2026. The text also obliges the Board of Directors to send the list of members to the Ministry of Governance and Territorial Development during the first days of January each year and the certification of the board’s election minutes within five days following their appointment.
The publication closes the church’s administrative cycle and allows it to operate as a legal entity: opening accounts, signing contracts, receiving donations, and appearing in court. For the inhabitants of San José Villanueva and the rest of La Libertad Este, the agreement implies the formal incorporation of a new religious actor into the legal life of the municipality.
