Puerto Real opens the period for allegations to the ordinance for protected housing applicants
Por FactBox Admin

The Puerto Real City Council has opened a 30-day public information period regarding the Ordinance regulating the Municipal Public Registry of applicants for protected housing, initially approved by the Corporation’s Plenary in a session held on September 24, 2026. The announcement is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Cádiz no. 201, dated October 19, 2026, within the Local Administration section, under official reference No. 334.423. During this period, the text may be examined, and any interested party may submit claims and suggestions.
The processing complies with articles 49 and 70.2 of Law 7/1985, of April 2, regulating the Bases of the Local Regime, and article 56 of Royal Legislative Decree 781/1986, of April 18, which approves the revised text of the legal provisions in force regarding the Local Regime. This is the ordinary procedure for the approval of municipal ordinances: initial agreement of the Plenary, public exhibition, and final approval once the allegations have been resolved.
The municipal registry of applicants is the tool with which the City Council organizes individuals aspiring to protected housing within the municipal district. The ordinance now presented establishes its regulation, although the published announcement does not reproduce the articles of the text, which must be consulted at the General Secretariat or on the municipal electronic office.

Where to consult and how to appeal
The public information period is 30 days starting from the insertion of the announcement in the Official Gazette of the Province of Cádiz, that is, from this very publication. There are two enabled channels:
- In person, at the offices of the General Secretariat of the City Council, located at Plaza de Jesús s/n in Puerto Real, from 9:00 to 13:00 hours.
- Electronically, through the municipal electronic office, at the address https://puertoreal.sedelectronica.es.
Any claims and suggestions submitted must be resolved by the Corporation, as indicated in the announcement itself.
Final approval if there are no claims
The text establishes that, in the event that no claims are filed within the indicated period, the agreement approving the ordinance shall be understood as definitively approved, without the need for a new plenary pronouncement. Only if allegations are registered will the Corporation have to resolve them before closing the processing.
The relevance of the regulation is direct for the residents: the registry of applicants is the gateway to protected housing in the municipality, meaning that the ordinance conditions who can register and the criteria by which future demand is organized. Until the deadline closes, interested parties have the opportunity to review the text and influence its final wording through allegations.
