The indicative calendar sets the competitive examination phase for November 2026, the merit-based assessment phase for December 2026 and the medical examination for January 2027, and the first exercise must be held within a maximum of three months from publication. Board and resolution
The board, appointed by resolution of 7 August 2026, will be chaired by Alberto Rodríguez Solórzano, with Susana García Sanz as secretary and the members Paula Torre García-Barredo, Yolanda Luengo García and Miguel Ángel San Emeterio, along with the corresponding alternates. Those who pass but do not obtain a post will join a 24-month job pool for temporary contracts, and the selected person must complete a three-month probationary period.
The announcement opens a stable public employment pathway in the state port system for technical maintenance profiles, in a key port for Cantabria’s economy. With the tests scheduled for autumn, the post offers an annual salary of €25,913.54 plus the quality and working hours supplement, and leaves the door open to the port’s job pool for those who pass without obtaining the post.
