The II collective agreement of Sabic Innovative Plastics in Murcia has been published

The General Directorate of Labor of the Ministry of Enterprise, Employment and Social Economy has ordered the registration in the registry of agreements and the publication of the II Collective Agreement of Sabic Innovative Plastics España, S.L. (formerly G.E. Plastics de España S. Com. por Acciones). The agreement, signed on May 21, 2026, by the negotiating commission, is disseminated in the Official Gazette of the Region of Murcia number 208, dated September 9, 2026, with official reference NPE A-090926-4316.

The resolution, signed on September 1, 2026, by the Director General of Labor, Juan Marín Pérez, processes file 30/01/0124/2026 with agreement code 30001842011996. The text is registered under Article 90 of the revised text of the Workers’ Statute Law and Royal Decree 713/2010, of May 28, on the registration and deposit of agreements.

Scope and Validity

The agreement is exclusively applicable to the company’s workplaces located in La Aljorra, Cartagena/Alhama de Murcia road, km 13, in the Region of Murcia, and affects all company personnel. The agreement, the result of consensus between the Human Resources Directorate and the Manufacturing Area and the Works Council, has a validity of one year: it enters into force on January 1, 2026, and ends on December 31, 2026, with tacit extension for annual periods if no notice of termination is given.

• Termination possible during the three months prior to the end of validity, with reliable prior notice.
• In the absence of termination, the agreement is automatically extended for successive years.
• It repeals and replaces all agreed norms and company agreements that were in force within its scope.

Working Day and Organization of Work

The working day for the years of the agreement’s validity is set at 1,690 hours for 2026. The industrial process is of a continuous nature, as it operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, with rotating shifts and special working days of up to 12 hours in flexibility situations.

• Ordinary working day employees: 8 effective hours from Monday to Thursday, with an intensive working day from 8:00 to 14:00 between July 1 and August 31.
• Intensive working day also from December 24 to 31 and on Holy Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
• Hours exceeding the agreed working day are considered overtime, with compensation in time off or monetary payment.

Remuneration and Social Conditions

The 2026 salary table includes the revised values with a 2.5% increase, structured into seven professional levels and up to 25 years of seniority. The agreement provides for job position, linkage, availability, and trust supplements, as well as two extraordinary payments.

• 25% supplement for work between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM.
• 10% supplement for Saturdays and Sundays due to natural shift rotation.
• Sabic Innovative Plastics España, S.L. has had an Equality Plan in the company since 2016.

Relevance of the agreement

The publication consolidates the labor framework of one of the large plants in the chemical-plastic sector of the Region of Murcia, guaranteeing stability in collective bargaining and updated remuneration and working hour conditions for its workforce. The text remains available to the workers and legal representation as a reference for their rights during the term of the agreement.
