Pioz announces 15 laborer positions for street cleaning and maintenance.

Por FactBox Admin

The Pioz City Council (Guadalajara) has published the rules governing the temporary hiring of 15 workers as laborers or operators for the project “Street cleaning and maintenance in Pioz”, with contracts lasting six months. The call, approved by Mayoral Decree No. 2026-0413, of June 1, 2026, appears in the Official Gazette of the Province of Guadalajara, number 154, of August 13, 2026, signed by the mayor-president, Carmen Blázquez Abellán.

The offer is part of the Active Employment Support Program in its Line 1, regulated by Order 46/2026, of April 7, of the Ministry of Economy, Enterprises and Employment of the Regional Government of Castilla-La Mancha (published in the DOCM of April 9, number 66). The program is co-financed by the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+) of Castilla-La Mancha 2021-2027, which covers 85% of eligible costs, together with the Provincial Council of Guadalajara and the City Council itself.

Contract conditions

Selected persons will be hired as temporary salaried staff, through a contract for a specific work or service in the modality of social-interest work, within the Extraordinary Employment Plan promoted by the Regional Government of Castilla-La Mancha, the Provincial Council of Guadalajara and the Pioz City Council for the 2026 financial year.

  • Duration: six months, non-extendable.
  • General working day from Monday to Friday, with a total of up to 37.5 hours per week.
  • Remuneration: current interprofessional minimum wage, with prorated extra payments.
  • Probationary period of one month.

Groups and reservations

Unemployed persons registered with an Emplea Office of Castilla-La Mancha who have remained registered for at least 360 days within the 540 days prior to the registration of the offer may participate, among other requirements. The call establishes mandatory hiring quotas:

  • At least 25% of contracts for people in situations of social exclusion, proposed directly by social services.
  • At least 7% for people in social exclusion who also have a recognized disability equal to or greater than 33%.
  • At least 55% women, unless there is not a sufficient number of female candidates.
  • At least 15% of contracts with the aforementioned groups for women victims of gender-based violence.

Applications must be submitted to the registry of the Pioz City Council (from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.) or by the procedure set out in Article 16.4 of Law 39/2015, within seven calendar days from the day following the publication of the call and the rules in the Official Gazette of Guadalajara, the electronic office, and the municipal notice board. The selection will consist of a single merit assessment phase with a maximum score of 15 points, which weighs time in unemployment, per capita family income, family responsibilities, disability, social exclusion, and the status of being a victim of gender-based violence. Applicants not selected will be placed on a job pool in order of score to cover vacancies, leaves, or resignations, managed by a five-member Local Selection Commission based at Main Square number 1.

For a small municipality like Pioz, the call represents a significant employment opportunity: fifteen six-month jobs that prioritize the most vulnerable groups. The resulting job pool will also allow substitutions to be covered quickly during the project’s duration, which is financed with European, regional, and provincial funds.
