The City Council of Peraleda de la Mata (Cáceres) has approved the call and the rules for the provision, as a career civil servant, of one position for General Administration Management Technician, through the internal promotion competition-examination system. The decision was adopted by Mayoral Resolution number 2026-0364, signed by the mayor-president Julio César Martín García, and is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Cáceres number 163, dated August 26, 2026.

The position is included in the 2026 Public Employment Offer (OEP2026), approved by Mayoral Resolution number 2026-00349, dated August 14, 2026, published in the Official Gazette of Extremadura number 163, dated August 24, 2026. The file regulating the call is number 339/2026, and the rules were negotiated in the Negotiation Table held on August 14, 2026.

Characteristics of the position

The called position belongs to the General Administration Scale, Management Subscale, Subgroup A2, with a destination supplement level of 23. The selection system will be a competition-examination for internal promotion, with a maximum total score of 100 points.

  • Competition phase: 40 points, prior to the examination and non-eliminatory.
  • Examination phase: 60 points, mandatory and eliminatory, with a minimum of 30 points to pass.
  • Professional experience: up to 24 points (0.12 points per full month of service).
  • Training and improvement: up to 12 points.
  • Other qualifications: up to 4 points.

The examination phase will consist of a single practical exercise, involving the written resolution of one or several cases related to the functions of the position, with a maximum duration of three hours. The syllabus comprises 60 topics distributed across five blocks: local organization and regime, contracting and heritage, public employment, subsidies, and treasury, budget, accounting, and control.

Requirements and submission of applications

Those who meet the general requirements for access to public employment and, specifically, the following may participate:

  • Hold a university degree of Bachelor’s (Grado), Diploma (Diplomatura), Technical Engineering, Technical Architecture, or an equivalent qualification that enables access to Subgroup A2.
  • Hold the status of career civil servant or, under the terms of cross-internal promotion, permanent contractual staff of the City Council, with a minimum seniority of two years.
  • Not have been dismissed through disciplinary proceedings nor be disqualified from exercising public functions.

Applications shall be submitted at the General Registry of the City Council, via the municipal electronic office (peraledadelamata.sedelectronica.es), or through the ORVE/SARA network, within a period of twenty calendar days starting from the day following the publication of the summary of the call in the Official State Gazette. The payment of examination fees amounts to 35.00 euros, via deposit or transfer to the City Council’s account.

Development of the process

No reserve list is established in the process, although persons with disabilities will be admitted under equal conditions and may request appropriate adaptations of time and means. The Qualifying Board will be composed of an odd number of members, not fewer than five, with a predominantly technical composition and qualifications equal to or higher than those required for the position.

In the event of a tie in the final grade, preference will be given to the highest score in the competitive examination, followed by professional experience, training, and, as a last resort, a public draw. The person who obtains the highest total score will be proposed for appointment as a career civil servant, and must formalize their adherence to the Constitution, the Statute of Autonomy of Extremadura, and the rest of the legal system.

The call represents an opportunity for consolidation and professional promotion for the civil service and labor personnel of the municipality, in a process that strengthens the City Council’s technical staff in key areas such as public procurement, human resources, subsidies, and budgetary management. With this position, Peraleda de la Mata advances in the fulfillment of its 2026 employment offer, guaranteeing the principles of equality, merit, capacity, and publicity in access to local public employment.
