Por FactBox Admin

The City Council of Peral de Arlanza has announced grants for the promotion of birth rates and for the purchase of books and school supplies for the 2026/2027 academic year, through a competitive bidding process. The call was approved by Mayoral Resolution of September 16, 2026, and its summary is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Burgos no. 186, of September 30, 2026, with the reference BOPBUR-2026-04035. The full text can be consulted in the National Grants Database, where the call has been assigned the code 929871.
The measure is supported by articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Law on Subsidies, and by Royal Decree 130/2019, of March 8, which regulates the National Grants Database and the publicity of public aid. The regulatory bases are those of the specific ordinance for the granting of subsidies regarding the promotion of birth rates and the purchase of books or school materials, published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Burgos no. 84, of May 5, 2017.
Beneficiaries and purpose of the aid
The father, mother, or legal guardian of students enrolled in early childhood, primary, or compulsory secondary education who meet the requirements of the bases may apply for the grants. The birth rate promotion line expressly includes:
- Parents, whether they are spouses, domestic partners registered in the municipal or regional registry, or single-parent families with children.
- Adopters of the children.
In the school material acquisition line, the beneficiaries are the parents or guardians of the child enrolled in any center providing regulated education up to the end of compulsory secondary education. Each birth or adoption formalized by the beneficiaries and the purchase of textbooks or school materials for early childhood, primary, and ESO (compulsory secondary education) students will be eligible for subsidies.
Amounts and regulatory bases
The budget credits to which the grant is charged correspond to application 334 480, and the maximum total amount announced is 1,500 euros. The amount of the aid is set at:
- 100 euros for each child enrolled in compulsory education, up to ESO.
- 300 euros for each birth or adoption.
In both cases, the aid will be granted until the maximum limit of 1,500 euros is exhausted.
Deadline, requirements, and documentation
Applications shall be made using the form attached as an annex to the call, addressed to the mayor-president, and submitted at the City Council’s entry registry or through any of the means specified in article 16.4 of Law 39/2015, of October 1. The deadline is ten calendar days from the publication of the summary in the Official Gazette of the Province of Burgos, therefore ending on October 10, 2026.
Applicants must provide proof of enrollment in a center with regulated teaching and, where applicable, proof of birth or adoption, in addition to:
- Certified copy of the enrollment or, in the case of births, a certificate from the Civil Registry.
- Certificate of census registration (empadronamiento) proving effective residence in the municipality for at least the last two months.
- Municipal certification stating that municipal tax obligations for the previous year are up to date.
- Bank current account for the deposit and a sworn declaration of other aid received for the same purpose.
The extract is signed in Peral de Arlanza on September 16, 2026, by the mayor, Ricardo de la Peña García.
The call offers direct support to families in the municipality during a school year marked by the cost of books and school supplies, and reinforces the municipal objective of stabilizing the population through an economic incentive for each birth or adoption. With a maximum of 1,500 euros and grants of 100 and 300 euros, the application window is limited; therefore, interested families must gather the documentation and submit it within the period of ten calendar days.
