The call was approved by Mayoral Resolution No. 0187, dated May 28, 2026, and the announcement is signed by the mayor, Carlos Largo Alcon.
The position is listed as vacant in the public employment offer for the 2025 fiscal year, published in the Official Gazette of Castilla-La Mancha number 246, dated December 22, 2025. The process is governed by local government and public employment regulations, including Law 7/1985, Royal Legislative Decree 5/2015 (Basic Statute of Public Employees), and Law 4/2011 on Public Employment of Castilla-La Mancha.

The contract to be formalized with the selected candidate will be for part-time permanent labor staff, regulated in article 12 of the revised text of the Workers’ Statute Law (Royal Legislative Decree 2/2015).
- Working day of 16 hours per week, provided during the weekend (Saturday and Sunday), except for exceptional service needs.
- Remuneration linked to the current Interprofessional Minimum Wage, with pro-rated extraordinary payments.
- The position is classified under group IV of the municipal staff.

The rules are available on the municipal electronic office (pastrana.sedelectronica.es).
Selection Process and Job Bank
The procedure consists of a competitive examination phase and a merit phase. The competitive examination consists of a single multiple-choice test of forty questions on the syllabus, with four alternative answers and only one correct, within a maximum time of sixty minutes; it is graded from 0 to 10 and is eliminatory for those who do not reach 5 points. The merit phase assesses up to 5 points for academic training and related courses, as well as experience as an access controller in Public Administration or in a private company.
All persons who pass the process with at least 5 points will be integrated into a job pool for future temporary hires, with calls made in order of score and validity until its exhaustion or the announcement of a new process. The provisional list of admitted and excluded candidates will be published within one month after the closing date for applications.
The call, which exhausts the administrative route, may be appealed for reversal before the Mayor’s Office within one month, prior to contentious-administrative proceedings before the Contentious-Administrative Court of Guadalajara. The creation of this position reinforces the surveillance of tourist buildings and the festivals of Pastrana, a municipality with strong seasonal influx, and offers a stable part-time employment opportunity for the residents of the region.
