Montilla expands its 2026 job offers with three Local Police positions

Montilla amplía su oferta de empleo de 2026 con tres plazas de Policía Local

The Mayor’s Office of the Montilla City Council has approved the expansion of the Public Employment Offer for the 2026 fiscal year with three new Local Police positions. The decision was adopted via a resolution from the Mayor’s Office dated October 20, 2026, and was published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Córdoba, number 210, on October 29, 2026, with the official reference BOP-A-2026-3569 and the signature of the mayor, Rafael Ángel Llamas Salas.

Three Local Police positions, group C1

The expansion exclusively affects civil servant personnel within the Special Administration and consists of three positions in the Local Police category classified under group C1. The details published in the provincial gazette are as follows:

  • Position 1: Local Police, group C1, linked to voluntary leave of absence.
  • Positions 2 and 3: Local Police, group C1, via the internal promotion track.
  • Total: three positions newly included in the 2026 offer.
  • Link: civil servant personnel, Special Administration scale.

The resolution approved by the Mayor’s Office is limited to authorizing the expansion of the offer and ordering its publication for general knowledge; the announcement does not include regulatory bases or an application calendar, procedures that will correspond to the calls for applications approved later.

Publication and administrative effects

The agreement is inserted in the Local Administration section of the gazette, on page 15651 of the October 29 issue, with secure verification code 4E6C 7744 1091 D155 90F7. Pursuant to Article 52 of Law 7/1985, of April 2, regulating the Bases of the Local Regime, the resolution exhausts the administrative route.

Against it, as detailed in the announcement itself, the following may be filed:

  • Optional appeal for reversal before the Mayor’s Office of Montilla, within one month from the day following publication, in accordance with Articles 123 and 124 of Law 39/2015, of October 1.
  • Contentious-administrative appeal before the Contentious-Administrative Court of Córdoba, within two months, in accordance with Article 46 of Law 29/1998, of July 13.
  • If an appeal for reversal is filed, the contentious route cannot be pursued until its express resolution or dismissal by administrative silence after one month, with a subsequent period of six months for the contentious-administrative appeal.
  • In any case, the possibility of an extraordinary appeal for review remains open.

Reinforcement of the police force

The two internal promotion positions allow for the filling of Local Police posts with officers who already serve in the municipal force, while the third is linked to a situation of voluntary leave of absence. In this way, the expansion of the 2026 offer incorporates, for the first time in this exercise, vacancies from the municipality’s police operational scale and not only positions from other categories.

The inclusion of these three positions in the year’s offer means that the Montilla City Council must call for the corresponding selection processes to fill them, which opens a path of access to the local public service for new applicants and, above all, an opportunity for promotion or consolidation for the officers who already make up the staff.

What it means for interested parties

For external applicants, the position associated with voluntary leave is the only one of the three that will likely be resolved through an open call. For the officers of the force, the two internal promotion positions are the way to improve their position within the structure of the Montilla Local Police without changing administrations.

The announcement is also relevant for the Council’s human resources planning: the expansion of the offer is the previous and essential step to be able to call for the positions, so its publication in the Official Gazette of the Province of Córdoba activates the calculation of the challenge periods and formally opens the way toward the selection processes.
