Montederramo pagará 1.500 euros por nacemento rateados en tres anualidades

The Montederramo City Council has opened the call for birth rate promotion grants for 2026, with a benefit of 1,500 euros for each child born or adopted, which will be paid in three annual installments of 500 euros (2026, 2027, and 2028). The measure was published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Ourense on November 2, 2026, in section IV for local entities, via an extract of the bases signed by the mayor, Óscar Diéguez González, on October 28, 2026. The announcement carries the registration reference R. 2.605.

The call is published under the provisions of articles 17.3 b and 20.8 of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Law on Subsidies, and the full text of the bases can be consulted on the municipal electronic office (montederramo.sedelectronica.gal). The eligible period covers births and adoptions occurring between January 1 and December 31, 2026, and the amount is compatible with any other aid the family receives for the same reason from other administrations.

A payment split over three fiscal years

The aid consists of a single economic benefit of 1,500 euros per child, which is made effective in installments: 500 euros in 2026, 500 in 2027, and 500 in 2028. The receipt of subsequent annual payments is conditional upon meeting the requirements throughout the entire period, such that the City Council may verify effective residence in the municipality before each payment.

The model also considers families who were already beneficiaries in previous calls: those who received the aid in 2024 or 2025 must submit the payment request for the 2026 installment, which is processed after verification of the requirements of the corresponding call.

Requirements: one year registered and two years of residence

The bases establish a series of conditions to access the subsidy and to collect it in full:

  • Be Spanish or a foreigner with legal residence in Spain, in accordance with Organic Law 4/2000, of January 11.
  • At least one of the parents or adopters must be registered (empadronado) in Montederramo with a minimum seniority of one year prior to the birth or adoption.
  • The child must live with the applicant and the municipality must be the first registration, proven with a collective registration certificate.
  • In the case of adoption, the minor must be registered in the municipal census within one month of the judicial resolution, and the girl or boy must be up to six years of age.
  • Maintain effective residence in the municipality during the two years following the application (2027 and 2028); failure to do so requires the return of the amount received with legal interest.
  • Be up to date with tax obligations to the state, regional, and local Treasuries and with Social Security.

The bases allow exceptions to residency when there are unforeseen situations regarding the reconciliation of work and family life, separation of parents, eviction, or other similar circumstances. Parents who are totally or partially deprived of parental authority or whose guardianship has been assumed by a public institution are excluded.

Only ten business days and electronic means preferred

The deadline for submitting applications is ten business days starting from the day following the publication of the extract in the provincial bulletin, therefore the count begins on November 3. Applications should preferably be submitted electronically through the council’s headquarters, although they are also accepted at the municipal General Registry, at Praza de Montederramo, 28, 32750 Montederramo (Ourense), or by any of the means specified in article 16.4 of Law 39/2015, of October 1.

The required documentation includes:

  • The application form from Annex I and, if applicable, the annual payment form from Annex II.
  • Copy of the DNI/NIE of the parents or adopters.
  • Collective census certificate (empadronamiento), unless consultation authorization is granted to the council.
  • Copy of the family book and, where applicable, the judicial or administrative resolution of adoption.
  • Regulatory agreement or judgment of nullity, separation, or divorce, where applicable.
  • Documentation accrediting single-parent families and certificates of being up to date with the Treasury and Social Security.
  • IBAN certificate and proof of bank account ownership for the deposit.

The call provides one of the most relevant economic support lines for young families in this municipality in the south of the province of Ourense, in a context of population loss in the rural interior. The division into three annual payments and the requirement of two years of residency link the aid to the effective settlement of families in the municipality, meaning the final amount depends on maintaining the census registration until 2028.
