Ólvega announces two permanent vacancies for cleaner and caretaker

The Ólvega City Council has opened the application period to fill two permanent employment positions through a competitive examination process: one for Municipal Building Cleaner and another for Janitor/Cleaner. The guidelines were approved by Agreement of the Local Government Board in the session held on August 13, 2026, and are published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Soria, number 97, dated August 21, 2026 (reference BOPSO-97-21082026).
Both positions are included in the 2026 Public Employment Offer, approved by Agreement of the Local Government Board on March 26, 2026 (with error corrections on April 9) and published in BOP number 38, dated March 30, 2026. These are permanent labor staff positions, assigned to the City Services / Maintenance and Works Area, with the category of laborer, group E and AP, and the required qualification of a school certificate or equivalent.
Two calls, two profiles
The first call (position 2-SC-1.3.0-04) offers one position for Municipal Building Cleaner, with an indefinite part-time contract and a workload of 74.29% (26 hours per week, from 15:00 to 20:12, with Saturdays and Sundays off). The complementary remuneration amounts to €603.62 per month.
The second call (position 2-SCI-1.4-01) offers one position for Janitor/Cleaner, with an indefinite full-time contract and a workload of 35 hours per week (26.5 hours of actual work, as Saturday and Sunday hours are counted double). The complementary remuneration amounts to €778.07 per month.
Functions and requirements
The cleaner’s functions include the cleaning and disinfection of classrooms, bathrooms, hallways, and offices, recycling management, and the opening and closing of the centers. The janitor/cleaner is responsible for the basic maintenance and disinfection of the Sports Center and the Culture and Youth House, the concierge services of both buildings, and public assistance.
To participate, the following requirements are required, among others:
- Hold Spanish nationality or meet the conditions of Article 57 of the Basic Statute of the Public Employee.
- Be at least 16 years old and not exceed the compulsory retirement age.
- Possess the required qualification by the application deadline.
- Not have been dismissed from service in any Public Administration.
Deadline and submission of applications
Applications, addressed to the Mayor of the Ólvega City Council, may be submitted within a period of twenty business days starting from the day following the publication of the summary announcement in the Official State Gazette (Boletín Oficial del Estado). They should preferably be submitted electronically through the City Council’s electronic office (olvega.sedelectronica.es), although they are also accepted at the General Registry and through the channels established by Law 39/2015.
Along with the application (Annex I), a photocopy of the ID (DNI), the required qualification, and Annexes II and III regarding merits must be provided. Persons with disabilities will be admitted on equal terms and may request adaptations regarding time and means. Subsequent announcements of the process will be published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Soria, on the electronic office, and on the Notice Board.
