Por FactBox Admin

The Plenary of the Logroño City Council, in an extraordinary session held on November 2, 2026, agreed to the provisional approval of the modification of the Tax Ordinances and the General Ordinance of Public Prices for the 2027 fiscal year. The agreement is published in the Official Gazette of La Rioja no. 212, of Tuesday, November 3, 2026, in section III of “Other provisions and acts,” with the official reference BOR-A-20261103-III–4111. The announcement opens a period of 30 business days for interested parties to examine the file and submit allegations.
Public exhibition and period for allegations
The file is subject to public exhibition for a period of 30 business days, counted from the day following the publication of the announcement in the Official Gazette of La Rioja, or from the last of the required publications if it were later. In doing so, the City Council complies with the provisions of point 2 of article 17 of Royal Legislative Decree 2/2004, of March 5, which approves the revised text of the Law Regulating Local Treasuries.
During this period, interested parties may consult the file and submit any claims they deem appropriate. The announcement does not yet detail the specific content of the tax review nor the resulting amounts for each category, which must be examined in the file documentation.
Where to consult and how to claim
The channels enabled by the City Council are as follows:
- In person, at the Treasury and Tax Management Directorate of the Logroño City Council.
- Electronically, on the municipal website: http://www.logrono.es.
- In writing, by submitting the claims that interested parties consider appropriate within the indicated period.
The publication includes the file number 202610290125301 and the secure verification code BOR-A-20261103-III–4111, which allow the authenticity of the document to be verified at the verification office of the Government of La Rioja.
Final approval without a new Plenary step
The agreement shall be understood as definitively approved, without the need for a new plenary agreement, if no claims are submitted against it within the public exhibition period. This is established by article 17.3 of Royal Legislative Decree 2/2004, of March 5, and is reflected in the published corporate agreement itself.
In the event that allegations are submitted, the file must be resolved expressly before the modification comes into force, scheduled for the 2027 fiscal year. The announcement is signed by the Secretary General of the Plenary, Ángel Medina Martínez, and consists of one page in the gazette, page 18670.
The scope of the measure is general: the tax ordinances regulate municipal taxes, and the general public price ordinance sets the rates for the services provided by the City Council. Therefore, the modification affects both the taxpayers subject to local taxes and the users of municipal services, who will see the applicable amounts updated for 2027. The period of 30 business days is the only window provided to challenge the proposal before it becomes final.
