The Belgian Official Gazette publishes a grant of 145,000 euros to the IOM

The Belgian Official Gazette (Moniteur belge) of September 25, 2026, publishes, on page 51443, a royal decree of June 17, 2026, regarding the granting of a subsidy of 145,000 euros to the International Organization for Migration (IOM). The text bears the official reference C − 2026/006857 and is signed by King Philippe, countersigned by the Minister for Asylum and Migration, A. Van Bossuyt. The sum is used to finance an information campaign in the Western Balkans.

A royal decree in the summary of the official journal

The opinion of the Inspector General of Finance was given on May 28, 2026.

A budgetary allocation to the FPS Interior

The expenditures are charged to the budget of the Federal Public Service Interior, according to the following budgetary identification:

• activity program 23;
• basic allocation 35.40.02.

Three installments and a designated bank account

The payment of the subsidy is staggered in three installments:

• First installment of 72,500 euros, or fifty percent of the subsidy, paid after the signing of the decree;
• Second installment of 50,750 euros, or thirty-five percent, paid three months after the start of the project and the production of a synopsis report by the organization;
• Third installment of 21,750 euros, or fifteen percent, subject to the production of a detailed activity report, supporting documents for the subsidized activities, and a letter of credit for the balance.

The payment will be made to the account of the beneficiary International Organization for Migration, at the bank Citibank, N.A., London (Account IOM Geneva EUR), with the IBAN GB57 CITI 1850 0810 8106 14, the BIC code CITIGB2L, and the reference BA10P0599.

Control of the use of funds and execution

A letter of intent from the Belgian State to the International Organization for Migration regulates the other modalities and the manner in which the use of the subsidy is justified. Any assignment of claims relating to this subsidy is prohibited.

The minister responsible for the access to the territory, residence, establishment, and removal of foreigners is charged with the execution of the decree, given in Brussels on June 17, 2026.
