La Vilavella announces a Local Police vacancy in its 2026 Employment Offer

The La Vilavella City Council has approved its 2026 Public Employment Offer (OEP), which includes one position for Local Police Officer via open competition, a relevant job opportunity for the region. The agreement was adopted by the Local Government Board on September 4, 2026, after being agreed upon with the negotiating table on the same day, and is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Castellón number 109, dated September 10, 2026.

The call is framed within the local regime and public employment regulations, and the resolution, signed by the Mayor-President Ms. Anna Belén Carratalá Martínez on September 7, 2026, exhausts the administrative route.

The announced position

The 2026 OEP provides for a single civil service position, intended to reinforce the municipality’s local security force. Its characteristics are as follows:

• Number of vacant positions: 1.
• Group and subgroup: C / C1.
• Scale: Special Administration.
• Subscale: Special Services – Local Police.
• Access procedure: open competition.

Regulatory framework

The approval complies with the provisions of Article 91 of Law 7/1985, of April 2, regulating the Bases of Local Regime, and Article 70 of the consolidated text of the Basic Statute of Public Employees Law, approved by Royal Legislative Decree 5/2015, of October 30. Both regulations require the publication of the employment offer in the corresponding official gazette to publicize the announced positions.

Appeals against the resolution

Against the resolution, which exhausts the administrative route, interested parties may file the following appeals:

• Optional appeal for reversal before the Mayor’s Office, within one month from the day following the publication of the announcement, in accordance with Articles 123 and 124 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on Common Administrative Procedure.
• Contentious-administrative appeal before the Contentious-Administrative Court of Castellón or the one corresponding to the interested party’s address, within two months, in accordance with Article 46 of Law 29/1998, of July 13, of the Contentious-Administrative Jurisdiction.

The filing of the appeal for reversal prevents the filing of the contentious-administrative appeal until the former is expressly resolved or dismissed by silence.
