Por FactBox Admin

The University of La Laguna (ULL) has announced five restricted competitive examination processes to fill six vacant positions for its administrative and service labor staff, as published in the Official Gazette of the Canary Islands number 165, dated August 18, 2026. Applications may be submitted electronically between August 25 and September 13, 2026, both dates inclusive.
The calls, signed via resolutions dated August 4, 2026, are addressed exclusively to the permanent labor staff of the university itself, within the framework of the internal promotion provided for in the II Collective Agreement for the Administrative and Service Labor Staff of the Public Universities of the Canary Islands.
The announced positions
The offered positions are divided between the professional groups of Senior Degree Holder and Intermediate Degree Holder, with different salary levels:
- Psychopedagogical Advisor (Senior Degree Holder, level 1): one position, resolution 2965.
- Computer Science (Senior Degree Holder, level 1): one position, resolution 2966.
- Technical Architect (Intermediate Degree Holder, level 2): one position, resolution 2967.
- Physical Education and Sport (Intermediate Degree Holder, level 2): one position, resolution 2968.
- Computer Science (Intermediate Degree Holder, level 2): two positions, resolution 2969.
In total, six positions are offered, all of which are budget-funded and currently vacant in the university’s job registry.
Regulatory framework and requirements
The processes are framed within the Public Employment Offers for Administrative and Service Labor Staff of the ULL for the years 2023 and 2024, approved by resolutions dated December 20, 2023, and December 4, 2024. The II Collective Agreement establishes the restricted competitive examination as the ordinary means of definitive provision, following the transfer competition, to guarantee the right of permanent labor staff to promotion and advancement.
To participate, it is necessary to meet the general requirements for access to the public service and, in particular:
- Hold the status of permanent PTGAS/PAS labor staff of the University of La Laguna.
- Possess the qualification required for each specialty (degree in Psychology, Pedagogy, or Psychopedagogy; Computer Engineering; Technical Architecture; or equivalent qualification).
- Not be in a situation of contract suspension due to public office or deprivation of liberty, nor on leave except in cases of gender violence or care for minors and family members.
Processing and tribunals
Applications shall be submitted through the ULL electronic office, and the provisional lists of admitted and excluded candidates will be published on the electronic notice board and on the website for labor staff calls. Excluded applicants will have a correction period of ten business days, and the examinations may not be held until fifteen business days have elapsed since the publication of the final list.
Each Qualifying Board will be composed of five people appointed by the Rector, two of whom are proposed by the Works Council, with a secretariat consisting of civil service personnel who have a voice but no vote, and a presidency that only votes in the event of a tie.
Relevance of the call
This series of restricted processes consolidates the commitment of the University of La Laguna to the internal promotion of its labor staff, allowing its permanent personnel to ascend to positions of greater responsibility and remuneration without opening to external competition. For the workers of the Tenerife campus, the twenty-calendar-day period opening on August 25 represents a direct opportunity for professional improvement within Canary Islands university public employment.
