La Robla calls for a library assistant under the MINEL 2026 mining plan

The La Robla City Council has published in the Official Gazette of the Province of León the call and general bases for the selection of a library assistant as temporary contractual staff, full-time, funded by the Economic Dynamization Plan for Mining Municipalities 2016-2020 (MINEL 2026). The announcement appears in issue number 162 of the gazette, dated August 26, 2026, with official reference BOP-LE-2026-162006.
The hiring is part of the direct grant to the mining municipalities of Castilla y León for the execution of works and services of general and social interest. The position will be filled through a competitive examination (concurso-oposición) system, under the modality of a contract linked to active employment policy programs (model 405), and is reserved for unemployed persons registered as non-occupied job seekers with the Public Employment Service of Castilla y León.
Position Conditions
The contract will have a maximum duration of 180 days, which shall not extend beyond February 28, 2027 (inclusive), with a working day of 37.5 hours per week and a probationary period of 30 days. Remuneration will correspond to the aid received through the MINEL grant.

Requirements and Submission of Applications
To be admitted, applicants must be unemployed and registered as non-occupied job seekers, and hold a Bachillerato Superior, FP/2 degree or equivalent (with homologation credentials if obtained abroad). Applications, addressed to the mayor-president, must be submitted within five business days from the publication in the BOP, accompanied by the required documentation.

Selection Process
The examination phase will consist of a multiple-choice questionnaire of 20 questions with four alternative answers, of a theoretical-practical nature, with a maximum time of 60 minutes and a score from 0 to 30 points (minimum of 15 to pass). The merit phase, also with a maximum of 30 points, will evaluate official qualifications related to Library Science, Documentation, and Archiving (up to 26 points) and training courses (0.50 points per hour, maximum 4).
The tribunal will be composed of a president who is a civil servant or permanent staff member of the City Council, the municipal secretary, and three members. In the event of a tie, preference will be given to the candidate who has not worked for the City Council in the previous two years. The applicant with the highest score will be hired as temporary staff, with a list of substitutes for possible resignations.
