La Puebla del Río approves its 2026 Public Employment Offer.

The City Council of La Puebla del Río has approved its Public Employment Offer for the 2026 financial year, which includes three civil servant posts: two for Local Police and one for Social Educator. The decision was adopted through Mayoral Resolution No. 883/2026, of 12 August, and is published in the Official Bulletin of the Province of Seville (BOP of Seville) No. 157, of 14 August 2026, under the official reference BOP-SE-2026-157014.

The approval is based on Article 128 of the Consolidated Text of the legal provisions in force on Local Government, approved by Royal Legislative Decree 781/1986, of 18 April, which requires local authorities to approve the offer within the month following approval of the budget. The 2026 municipal budget and the staffing structure, whose initial approval was published in the BOP of Seville No. 78, of 24 April 2026, were declared final on 21 May 2026, after the period of public display (BOP No. 91).

The file, processed under the reference MOAD No. 2026/OEP_01/000002, was initiated by order of the Mayor’s Office-Presidency dated 28 July 2026. According to the report of the Human Resources Department, dated 23 July, on vacant posts, departures in the 2025 financial year and calculation of the staff replacement rate, the latter amounts to three posts; the file also includes the report of the Deputy Secretariat No. 092/2026, dated 29 July, the Mayor’s proposal of 5 August and the audit report of the Municipal Comptroller dated 11 August. The proposal was negotiated on 12 August at the General Negotiating Board.

The announced positions

The offer is limited to civil servant staff and is broken down as follows:

• Local Police (Group C, Subgroup C1), assigned to the Public Safety and Order Department: 2 posts.
• Social Educator (Group A, Subgroup A2), assigned to the Social Services Department: 1 post.

The agreement notes that the City Council does not have a Staff List or a Job Evaluation. The resolution, adopted under Article 21.1.g) of the Law Regulating the Bases of Local Government (LRBRL), bears the signature of the Mayor, Dolores Prósper Pérez.

Procedure and next steps

The resolution orders the publication of the offer on the City Council’s electronic notice board and in the BOP of Seville, and the subsequent approval of the rules and the call for the selection tests to fill the announced posts. Against this resolution, which brings the administrative procedure to an end, interested parties may file, alternatively:

• Optional reconsideration appeal, within one month from the day following publication, before the mayor, in accordance with articles 123 and 124 of Law 39/2015, of 1 October, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations.
• Contentious-administrative appeal, within a period of two months, before the Contentious-Administrative Section of the Court of First Instance of Seville, in accordance with article 46 of Law 29/1998, of 13 July, regulating the Contentious-Administrative Jurisdiction.
