The Labor Office corrects the work calendar of Berlanga de Duero

The Territorial Labor Office of Soria has corrected a material error in the agreement that determines the labor holidays, which are paid and non-recoverable, for the towns in the province. In Berlanga de Duero, the local holiday changes from August 30 to August 23, while the municipality’s second holiday, September 24, remains unchanged. The rectification is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Soria number 113, dated September 28, 2026, with the official reference BOPSO-113-28092026.

The corrected text is the Agreement of July 7, 2026, from the Territorial Labor Office of Soria, which was published in the Official Gazette of the Province number 81, dated July 15, 2026, and which established the calendar of paid and non-recoverable labor holidays for all Soria municipalities. The new publication does not alter the rest of the agreement: it is limited to replacing one of the two dates assigned to Berlanga de Duero.

The correction is signed in Soria on September 23, 2026, by the Head of the Territorial Labor Office, Noemí Molinuevo Estéfano, and is inserted in section III, Regional Administration, under the heading of the Junta de Castilla y León.

What exactly changes

The announcement literally reproduces the affected content, using the standard formula for this type of rectification:

• Where it said: «BERLANGA DE DUERO: August 30 and September 24».
• It should say: «BERLANGA DE DUERO: August 23 and September 24».

The change, therefore, affects only the first of the two local holidays of the municipality, which is moved forward seven days on the calendar. The second date, September 24, remains intact.

The signing body and the framework of the agreement

The Territorial Labor Office of Soria is the body of the Junta de Castilla y León competent to determine local labor holidays in the province, once the regional and national holidays have been set. The original agreement from July established those two festive days for each Soria town, under the condition of being paid and non-recoverable.

The rectification is processed as a correction of a material error, a mechanism that allows for the amendment of an incorrect piece of data without the need to issue a new agreement or reopen the procedure. The document is published on page 3336 of the provincial gazette dated September 28, 2026.

Scope for companies and workers

Since these are paid and non-recoverable holidays, the corresponding workday is paid and is not compensated with another working day. Therefore, the exact date is decisive for:

• Companies with staff in Berlanga de Duero, which must adjust their internal labor calendar.
• Workers in the municipality, who see one of their two local holidays modified.
• Collective agreements and schedules that use the provincial calendar published in July as a reference.

The correction comes after the original agreement had been in effect since mid-July, meaning that calendars already prepared with the August 30 date must be updated.

The adjustment has an immediate practical effect on the productive fabric of Berlanga de Duero: the local holiday will finally be celebrated on August 23 and not the 30th, so companies in the municipality must review shifts, closures, and working hour calculations before the date arrives. Publication in the official bulletin is what grants effectiveness to the rectification against third parties.
