Por FactBox Admin

The City Council of La Iglesuela del Cid has announced a competitive examination process to fill one permanent labor position for a tourist information officer, historical and heritage information officer, vacant in the municipal staff following the retirement of the previous holder, and to establish a job bank through this process. The rules are published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Teruel (BOPTE) no. 207, dated October 28, 2026, under official reference 2026-3129, and the deadline for submitting applications is ten business days from the day following said publication.
The position is not limited to assistance at the tourist office: the purpose of the call also includes the coordination and organization of the historical reenactments of La Iglesuela del Cid, namely, the Dances, the performances, the archive, and the dissemination of the customs and traditions of the municipality and the Maestrazgo Region. The process also generates a job bank intended to cover sick leave, vacations, and other absences of the person occupying the position.
Requirements and submission of applications
Applicants must meet the conditions set forth in the rules and prove them with the application, addressed to the Mr. Mayor of the City Council:
- Spanish nationality, nationality of a European Union member state, or legal residence in Spain.
- Functional capacity to perform the tasks and an age between sixteen years and compulsory retirement.
- First-level Vocational Training degree or equivalent, or a higher degree.
- Category B driver’s license.
- Not having been dismissed through disciplinary proceedings from any public administration nor being disqualified.
The application is submitted at the General Registry of the City Council or through any of the channels specified in article 38.4 of Law 30/1992, including the municipal electronic office (laiglesueladelcid.sedelectronica.es), along with a copy of the DNI and driver’s license, the academic degree, a sworn statement of not being disqualified, documentation proving merits, and the curriculum vitae. Subsequent announcements will be disseminated on the electronic office notice board.
Two exercises and a merits scale
The Evaluating Tribunal will consist of a president and four members, one of whom will be the secretary, appointed by the City Council of La Iglesuela del Cid, the Provincial Council of Teruel, and the Maestrazgo Region, and it may not act without at least three members, with the mandatory presence of the presidency and secretary.
The opposition phase is held on a single day with two tests: a test of 25 questions in 30 minutes, with three possible answers and one point per correct answer without penalty for errors, worth up to 25 points; and the oral presentation of a practical topic before the tribunal, valued at a maximum of 20 points. The competition phase, which is non-eliminatory, distributes up to 20 points among academic qualifications (5), specific qualifications (5, with 5 points for a Degree in History or Humanities), experience (5), and training (5). The syllabus, contained in Annex II, consists of thirteen topics on the Spanish Constitution of 1978, the Statute of Autonomy of Aragon, Legislative Decree 1/2013 on Tourism in Aragon, tourist accommodations, the heritage of Maestrazgo, and the history and traditions of La Iglesuela del Cid.
Job pool and taking office
Those who pass the process shall provide the required documentation within five calendar days and will be appointed by the Mayor-President, joining within a maximum period of fifteen calendar days. Members of the job pool will be called in order by telephone, email, or SMS and must respond within twelve hours; the probationary period will be at least one month.
The call for applications comes at a time when rural and heritage tourism has consolidated as an economic activity in Maestrazgo, and guarantees the continuity of a municipal service that until now was performed by a single person, in addition to ensuring temporary replacements through the job pool.
