The Generalitat announces 1.2 million in grants for personal autonomy

The Department of Social Services, Family and Childhood has published in the Official Gazette of the Generalitat Valenciana (DOGV) number 10442, of September 2, 2026, the Resolution of August 26, 2026, establishing the regulatory bases and calling for the 2026 financial year the subsidies for the promotion of personal autonomy for people with disabilities. The call, which is processed under a competitive bidding regime, has an allocation of 1,200,000 euros charged to the subsidy line S0228, “Aid to facilitate personal autonomy.”

The resolution, signed by the regional minister Elena Albalat Aguilella, is published in section III (Administrative Acts, subsidies and grants) and is accompanied by its official extract, identified with number DOGV-C-2026-27842 and registered in the National Subsidy Database with the identifier BDNS 926956. Purpose and modalities of the aid

The aid is aimed at natural persons with the legal status of disability residing in the Valencian Community, and finances 100% of the cost of the action, within the maximum limits set per modality. Each applicant may request a subsidy for a maximum of two actions, provided that one of them is for transport.

• Technical aids and support products: up to €2,100 (physical disability), €1,600 (hearing), €1,350 (visual, intellectual or ASD) and €1,200 (communication via alternative systems).
• Removal of architectural barriers in the home: up to €4,000, and €2,800 for bathroom adaptations.
• Adaptation of motor vehicles: up to €2,500.
• Transport for attendance at treatments and care centers: €6/day, with a maximum of €1,440 per year.

Requirements and procedure

Persons with disabilities under 65 years of age (under 60 in the case of aid for the removal of barriers in the home) whose individual or family per capita income is less than three times the IPREM of the previous year may apply. For transport, recognized reduced mobility and not receiving the mobility subsidy are also required.

Applications shall be submitted electronically via the Generalitat’s electronic office (sede.gva.es/proc111114) or at the registration offices of the territorial directorates, within one month from the publication of the extract. The award is resolved by order of the date of submission, with ties broken by lower income and, where applicable, higher degree of disability, and the maximum resolution period is three months.

Financing and justification

The allocation of 1,200,000 euros is charged to budget program 313D00, “Persons with disabilities,” chapter IV, with 600,000 euros from conditional own funds and 600,000 euros from external contributions. The call provides for a possible credit extension of up to an additional 700,000 euros, which will be published before the award resolution.

Beneficiaries must justify the expenditure within a maximum period of two months from the notification and, in any case, before December 31, 2026. For transport, justification is accredited through a certification of attendance signed by the management of the center or healthcare service.

The call, framed within the Strategic Grant Plan 2024-2026 and the Law 4/2026 on the Generalitat’s budgets, reinforces the care of a vulnerable group through technical aids, home accessibility, vehicle adaptation, and transport to treatments. By financing 100% of the actions and covering daily mobility and autonomy needs, these grants directly impact the quality of life and social inclusion of people with disabilities in the Comunitat Valenciana.
