The Provincial Council of Soria, through its Treasury, has announced the second collection period of 2026 for local taxes with periodic maturity and collective notification. The collection will take place between September 1 and November 3, as stated in the announcement published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Soria number 96, dated August 19, 2026, pages 2810 and 2811.
The announcement, signed on July 20, 2026, by the president of the institution, Benito Serrano Mata, affects all taxpayers in the province of Soria and is part of the ordinary local tax collection calendar managed by the Provincial Council.
Taxes included in the second period
In this second period of 2026, the following taxes and fees are being collected:
- Real Estate Tax (Urban IBI).
- Real Estate Tax (Rural IBI).
- Real Estate Tax on Special Characteristics (BICES).
- Tax on Economic Activities (IAE).
- Water, garbage collection, and sewerage fees, only for those municipalities and public entities that have delegated collection to the Provincial Council of Soria and for the periods they determine.
- Other municipal levies.
How and where to pay the bills
Direct debit bills will be sent to the designated banking entities on September 15, 2026. Non-direct debit bills are notified by their inclusion in the collection list, in accordance with article 102.3 of the General Tax Law, and will be sent by mail to the address provided by the taxpayer for purely informative purposes.
Payment notices not received can be collected at the office of the Council’s Collection Service, from 9:00 to 14:00 hours, or downloaded via the website ovt.dipsoria.es. Non-direct debit bills can be paid at the following entities:
- Caja Rural de Soria (managing entity).
- Unicaja Banco, BBVA, Banco Santander, Caixabank, Banco Sabadell, and Cajamar (collaborating entities).
- Through Correos (T€NVIO).
Executive stage surcharge
Any incidents occurring during the collection process will be handled by the Tax Service of the Provincial Council of Soria. The institution reminds taxpayers to verify the accuracy of the data reflected in the collection documents and to report any anomalies to the entity managing the tax.
Once the specified deadline has passed, the executive collection procedure for unpaid bills will begin, requiring an executive surcharge of 5% from the day following the expiration of the voluntary payment period until the notification of the enforcement order.
The announcement affects virtually all municipalities in the province, making compliance with the deadlines key to avoiding surcharges. Taxpayers who have not received their notices have in-person and electronic channels available to regularize their situation before the period closes.
