The Provincial Council of Álava appoints its representatives to various participated entities

The Foral Government Council of the Provincial Council of Álava approved Agreement 567/2026 on September 15, 2026, designating its representatives in various public and private entities. The decision is published in the Official Gazette of the Historical Territory of Álava (BOTHA) number 109, dated September 23, 2026, with the official reference 2026-02689. The agreement takes effect from the day of its approval, without prejudice to its publication in the gazette.

The regulatory framework of the designation

The competence to appoint foral representatives in public or private bodies and institutions corresponds to the Foral Government Council, as provided for in article 8.1.a), sections 8 and 9, of Foral Norm 10/2023, of March 15, on the government, organization, and legal regime of the Provincial Council of Álava.

Which entities and positions are covered

The agreement approves the designation of representatives referring to entities identified according to the code of the Registry of entities participated in by the foral administration, which are detailed in Annex I of the resolution. The annex organizes the information into the following columns:

• Entity code and full name.
• Activity sector code and name.
• Status as titular or substitute.
• Type of movement: appointment or cessation.
• Designated person and the position they hold.

Among the entities included in the annex is the Joint Monitoring and Control Commission created by the agreement to promote the implementation of the pilot experience of the comprehensive and specialized care model against sexual violence in childhood and adolescence, identified with code 447 and assigned to sector 80 Social Policies.

The published names

The foral representation in this joint commission falls to Miren Saratxaga de Isla, Director of Social Services, as stated in Annex I of the agreement as the appointment of the titular person.

The document was signed in Vitoria-Gasteiz on September 15, 2026, by the General Deputy, Ramiro González Vicente, and by the Director of Cabinet and Communication, Elena Ferreira Sebastián.

Effects and publicity

The agreement takes effect on the day of its approval, that is, September 15, 2026, without prejudice to its publication in the BOTHA, which took place in issue number 109 on September 23, 2026. The resolution is included in section I of the bulletin, relating to the General Assemblies of Álava and the Provincial Administration of the Historical Territory of Álava.

The appointment of representatives in participated entities is a government decision with direct institutional impact: it determines who defends the provincial interests and exercises control within the governing bodies of organizations and companies in which the Provincial Council of Álava has a presence, including monitoring spaces for sensitive social policies such as care for sexual violence against children and adolescents.
