Por FactBox Admin

The Provincial Council of Cáceres has approved the guidelines to fill 21 Administrative Assistant positions through a competitive examination process, of which 19 are offered via the open entry track and 2 via the disability track. The call for applications is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Cáceres no. 0191, dated October 6, 2026, with the official reference BOP-2026-4651, following the resolution issued by the president of the corporation on October 1, 2026.
The positions correspond to the General Administration Scale, Administrative Subscale, Assistant Class, Group C, Subgroup C2, of the Council’s civil servant staff. They are part of the execution of the 2025 and 2026 Public Employment Offers and are governed by the Revised Text of the Basic Statute of Public Employees, approved by Royal Legislative Decree 5/2015, of October 30, and by Law 13/2015, of April 8, on the Public Service of Extremadura, in addition to the General Guidelines approved by Resolution of June 11, 2021.
The presidential resolution specifically assumes the competence to approve the guidelines and the calls for applications, and orders their publication in the BOP, their summary in the Official State Gazette (BOE), and the opening of the application period. The announcement is signed in Cáceres on October 5, 2026, by Álvaro Casas Avilés, Chief of Staff, and begins on page 22777.

Deadline, fees, and submission of applications
Registration is carried out exclusively through the form on the Council’s employment website, within a period of 20 business days starting from the publication of the announcement in the BOE. The application must be electronically signed and submitted via the Electronic Office, without the need for certified copies of the documents accrediting merits.
- Examination fee: 15 euros, payable via payment gateway or transfer to UNICAJA BANCO.
- Total fee exemption for persons with a disability equal to or greater than 33%.
- 75% discount for unemployed persons registered at least one month prior to the announcement in the BOE.
Two phases: examination and merit competition
The process is graded out of 10 points. The competitive examination (oposición) accounts for 75% (7.5 points) and the merit assessment (concurso) for 25% (2.5 points). The competitive examination consists of a single exercise: a theoretical-practical multiple-choice questionnaire of 90 questions plus 7 reserve questions, with four alternative answers, which must be completed in a maximum of 115 minutes. A minimum of 50% of the maximum score is required to pass.
The merit assessment, which is non-eliminatory, evaluates qualifications higher than those required (up to 0.2 points), experience in Public Administrations (up to 1.5 points), and training (up to 0.8 points). The Single Tribunal will be responsible for evaluating the claimed merits and resolving appeals.
Tribunal, job pool, and destination
The qualifying tribunal will be constituted in accordance with Article 60 of the Basic Statute of Public Employees and Article 97 of the Public Service Law of Extremadura, with a balanced presence of women and men and with observers from trade union organizations. The call for applications will also generate a temporary job pool consisting of those who achieve at least four points in the exercise.
Proposed candidates will have 20 business days to prove the required requirements and will be appointed as career civil servants via a resolution to be published in the BOP, indicating the assigned destination. The selection of positions will be conducted in a public hearing based on the total score obtained.
With 21 vacancies, this is one of the largest local public employment calls of the day in the province of Cáceres and opens a path to the civil service for candidates with basic qualifications. The 20-business-day deadline from the announcement in the BOE sets the calendar for hundreds of candidates in the province.
