The Provincial Council of Alicante has resolved the call for grants aimed at associations and other private non-profit entities operating in the field of Social Welfare in the province, intended to cover travel expenses for activities promoting coexistence. The resolution, published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Alicante number 185, dated September 29, 2026, grants aid to 96 entities for a total amount of 83,588.50 euros. The announcement carries the reference 7360/2026 and appears in section III, Local Administration.
The decree and the framework of the call
The resolution was approved by Decree of the Deputy for Social Welfare and Equality number 4,306, dated September 25, 2026, issued by virtue of the powers delegated by the president of the institution through resolution number 3,328, dated July 28, 2023 (BOP number 150, dated August 4, 2023). The original call had been approved by Decree number 3,741, dated August 14, 2026, and the proposed resolution now being executed is PR/2026/5009, dated September 24, 2026.
The file includes the report of the Social Welfare Valuation Commission, constituted as a collegiate body in accordance with article 22.1 of the General Subsidies Law 38/2003, of November 17, in addition to the reports from the Funds Audit Office and the Head of the Social Welfare Service. The aid is charged to the budget application 20.2317.4831000, with a total expenditure allocated of 83,588.50 euros, from a call endowed with 150,000 euros. They may cover up to 100% of the travel costs for activities carried out between September 16, 2025, and October 12, 2026.
Beneficiary entities and activities
Annex 1 lists the 96 entities with their Tax ID (NIF), location, activity, and amount. Among the highest grants, amounting to 1,000 euros, are:
- Association of People with Disabilities of Benidorm and Region (ASMIBE), for a leisure and free time program.
- Association of Women Affected by Breast Cancer of Elche and Region (AMACMEC), for an excursion.
- Diabetics Union of Alicante (U.D.A.), for a family camp for associative coexistence.
- Association of Mothers and Fathers of Girls and Boys with Cancer of the Valencian Community (ASPANION), for a summer camp.
- Federation of Associations of People with Physical and Organic Disabilities of the Province of Alicante (COCEMFE), with 980 euros.
Other notable grants are those for the Acquired Brain Injury and Stroke Association of the Vega Baja (ACERVEGA), with 845 euros; the Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue etc. Association ASIMEPP of Torrevieja, with 825 euros; the Association of Disabled People of Pinoso Iguals i Sense Traves, with 975 euros; and the Juan Carlos Pérez Santamaría Foundation, with 63 euros, the lowest amount in the annex. The entities cover locations such as Alicante, Elche, Benidorm, Villena, Orihuela, Alcoy, Dénia, Torrevieja, Novelda, Petrer, or Crevillent.
Justification deadlines and appeal channels
Beneficiaries will receive payment upon submission of the documentation between the publication of the resolution and October 15, 2026:
- Justification form 1B, with reference to the payments made.
- Activity report in accordance with Annex V.
- Responsible declaration using model Annex VI regarding tax and Social Security obligations.
- Graphic documentation of dissemination on social networks; if no social networks are used, Annex VII.
The amount to be justified shall be at least 100% of the granted amount, and originals must be kept for four years from October 15, 2026. Correctable defects will have ten days for rectification. Annex 2 lists the accepted withdrawals from Fundación AEPA and Vegatea. The grants are compatible with other subsidies, provided that the total does not exceed the cost of travel. An appeal for reversal may be filed against the resolution within one month, or a contentious-administrative appeal within two months before the Court of First Instance of Alacant/Alicante.
The distribution consolidates provincial support for the associative fabric working with people with disabilities, mental illness, cancer, Alzheimer’s, diabetes, or fibromyalgia, and allows groups from across the province to finance travel for their outings, camps, and coexistence days. Entities have barely two weeks from publication to submit the justification, a tight deadline that conditions the actual collection of the grants.
