Por FactBox Admin

The Public Radio and Television Entity of the Balearic Islands (EPRTVIB) has announced the creation of a talent pool for the category of editor/writer for temporary employment contracts on the islands of Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza, and Formentera. The guidelines are published in the Official Gazette of the Balearic Islands (BOIB) no. 136, dated October 24, 2026, within Section II. Authorities and Personnel, Second Subsection. Competitive Examinations and Contests, under call number 10604. The resolution bears the signature of the general director of the entity, Josep Maria Codony Oliver, in Calvià, on October 19, 2026.
The call responds to the need to cover substitutions and urgent and unavoidable service needs at the regional public radio and television station, with a full-time working day. The described functions are of an intellectual nature in literary, oral, or graphic form and include responsibility for the sources and orientation of the content during the preparation, research, and writing phases of the information.
Remuneration and Requirements
The minimum gross annual remunerations set in the guidelines vary according to the destination island:
- Mallorca: 36,734.50 euros.
- Menorca and Ibiza: 37,686.71 euros.
- Formentera: 38,545.19 euros.
Applicants must meet, among others, the following requirements:
- Hold Spanish nationality or another that allows access to public employment as labor personnel, in accordance with article 57 of Royal Legislative Decree 5/2015.
- Be at least eighteen years old and not exceed the ordinary retirement age.
- Not have been dismissed through disciplinary proceedings from any public administration nor be disqualified from public occupations or positions.
- Hold a bachelor’s degree or degree in any qualification from the branches of social and legal sciences or arts and humanities, or equivalents.
- Provide a certificate of Catalan language knowledge at level B2 recognized by the General Directorate of Linguistic Policy or the Balearic School of Public Administration.
Deadline, Submission, and Scale
The deadline for submitting applications is fifteen business days starting from the day after the publication of the call in the BOIB. The application, according to the model in Annex I, should preferably be submitted electronically through the Common Electronic Registry of the General State Administration, where the entity appears with the code A04035970. It can also be delivered in person at Madalena Street no. 21 in Santa Ponça (Calvià), from 9:00 to 14:00 hours, Monday to Friday, and it is recommended to send the proof of submission to seleccio@ib3tv.com.
Selection is carried out through a merit-based competition with an eliminatory practical test. The scale awards up to 50 points for professional experience (1.5 points per month in public administration or the instrumental public sector and 1 point per month in the private sector), up to 10 points for academic qualifications, up to 12 points for training, up to 6 points for the Catalan language, and up to 2 points for other languages. The practical test, consisting of a simulation exercise of daily work, is worth up to 20 points, and failure to pass it results in exclusion from the process.
Selection Committee and Operation of the Talent Pool
The tribunal is composed of six employees of the entity, with members and substitutes:
- Xavier Garcia Tur, president, and Emma Socías Bordoy as substitute.
- Angel Santos Mirallas Espallargas, member 1, and Miquel García Sastre as substitute.
- Francisca Maria Llabrés Bestard, member 2, and Guillermo Gayà del Pino as substitute.
The secretary shall be the person designated by vote among the members, and the works council may appoint an observer with a voice but without a vote. Provisional and final lists will be published on the EPRTVIB website, in the Corporate - Notice Board section, and applicants will have five business days to submit claims.
Once the talent pool is established, temporary hires will be made in strict order of precedence, with calls in blocks of 30 applicants via email or telephone and a maximum period of 24 hours to accept or reject the offer. Anyone who does not respond to three consecutive calls will remain inactive for three months, and the pool will remain valid until a new one is established. In the event of a tie, priority will be given to greater professional experience, academic merits, training and, if applicable, female gender in case of underrepresentation, with a draw as the final criterion.
The call opens a stable access route to the public audiovisual labor market for information professionals of the archipelago, with positions distributed across the four islands and starting salaries exceeding 36,700 euros per year. Controversies derived from the rules fall under the social jurisdictional order, in accordance with Law 36/2011, without prior appeal in the administrative channel.
