Iznájar moves the publication of two job openings to the BOP

The Iznájar City Council has modified the seventh clause of the regulatory bases for two internal promotion selection processes so that the calls for specialist laborer and specialist operator are published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Córdoba instead of the Official State Gazette. The decision, adopted by Mayor Lope Ruiz López through Mayoral Resolutions 541/2026 and 540/2026, both dated August 19, 2026, is published in issue number 165 of the BOP of Córdoba, dated August 26, 2026.

The change is a response to the BOE’s refusal to insert the announcements, as the publication of calls corresponding to internal promotion processes for labor personnel is not applicable. With the new wording, the deadline for submitting applications will be twenty business days starting from the day following the publication in the BOP of Córdoba.

Two positions by merit competition

The original bases for both processes were approved on May 6, 2026, through Mayoral Resolutions 284/2026 (specialist laborer) and 283/2026 (specialist operator), and published in full in the BOP of Córdoba, issue 91, dated May 13, 2026, with an extract in the Official Gazette of the Junta de Andalucía, issue 131, dated July 9, 2026.

• Specialist laborer: one permanent labor personnel position, via internal promotion and a merit competition system (Resolution 541/2026, document BOP-A-2026-2939).
• Specialist operator: one permanent labor personnel position, via internal promotion and a merit competition system (Resolution 540/2026, document BOP-A-2026-2940).

Both positions are included in the Public Employment Offer for the 2026 fiscal year.

Deadline and submission of applications

The new seventh clause establishes a deadline of twenty business days to submit the application, addressed to the Mayoralty-Presidency of the Iznájar City Council, in accordance with Article 16 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, accompanied by the supporting documentation of the required requirements.

The modification exclusively affects the means of publication that determines the start of the deadline, without altering the conditions of participation, the selection system, the merit scale, or any other substantial aspect of the call. The City Council expressly declares the preservation of all administrative actions carried out to date, as the application period has not yet begun nor has any prejudice been caused to potential applicants.

Appeals

Against both resolutions, which exhaust administrative remedies, an optional appeal for reversal may be filed before the Mayoralty within one month of their publication, or a contentious-administrative appeal may be filed before the Contentious-Administrative Court of Córdoba within two months.

The measure ensures the publicity and the start of the calculation of deadlines for two stabilization processes for permanent labor personnel of the Córdoba municipality, so that applicants for internal promotion have a clear calendar and a single official reference medium to formalize their applications.
