Huévar fija retribuciones por dedicación exclusiva de sus concejales

The Plenary of the City Council of Huévar del Aljarafe, in an extraordinary session held on August 26, 2026, has set the remuneration for the members of the Corporation who hold their positions under a regime of exclusive dedication, with retroactive effect. The agreement, adopted upon the proposal of the Mayor’s Office, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Seville number 175, dated September 9, 2026, under the reference BOP-SE-2026-175013.

The decision responds to the need to financially compensate the councilors who assume competencies delegated by the Mayor’s Office and who dedicate their working day to municipal management. The agreement is based on the reports from the Secretary-Intervention of July 31 and from the Intervention of August 21, 2026, which endorse the possibility of granting retroactive effect to the remuneration.

Full exclusive dedication remuneration

The agreement designates two members of the Corporation with full exclusive dedication, with the following gross annual remunerations, payable in 12 monthly installments and with retroactive effect:

  • Mayor-President with 100% dedication: €42,000 gross per year.
  • Deputy Mayor Mr. Manuel Ruiz with 100% dedication: €40,000 gross per year.

Partial dedication remuneration

Additionally, two members are designated with partial exclusive dedication, also with gross annual remunerations payable in 12 monthly installments and with retroactive effect:

  • 2nd Deputy Mayor with 75% dedication: €32,926.70 gross per year.
  • 1st Delegated Councilor for Services with 50% dedication: €23,232.00 gross per year.

Delegations and Social Security regime

The agreement stems from Decree No. 67/26, of July 28, 2026, by which the Mayor’s Office delegated competencies to the Deputy Mayors Mr. Manuel Ruiz Morera, Ms. Rosa María Nuevo Toro, and the Delegated Councilor Ms. Isabel María Romero Fernández. The delegations cover areas such as Employment and Social Policies, Health and Equality, Works and Services, Youth, Urban Planning, Sports, Environment, and Citizen Services, among others, which require preferential dedication.

The agreement also orders the request to the General Treasury of the Social Security for the registration of the members with exclusive dedication, with the City Council assuming the obligations of the general regime and the payment of the corresponding employer’s contribution.

Publication and transparency

The agreement, electronically signed by the Mayor-President Israel Álvarez Bejarano on September 7, 2026, provides for its publication in the Official Gazette of the Province of Seville and on the municipal transparency portal, as well as notification to the interested parties and the personnel and intervention service.

The publication of these remunerations reinforces transparency regarding the cost of the municipal government of Huévar del Aljarafe, allowing citizens to know the amount their local representatives receive for the exercise of their duties.
