Por FactBox Admin

The Guadix City Council has definitively approved credit supplement file 14-2026, financed from the liquid treasury surplus for financially sustainable investments, for a total amount of 204,966.73 euros. The decision, adopted as no allegations were presented during the public exhibition period, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Granada number 166, dated August 28, 2026, with reference BOP-GRA-2026-166003.
The announcement, processed by the municipal Comptroller’s Office, is disseminated for general knowledge for the purposes of article 169.1, by referral of 177.2, of the Recast Text of the Law Regulating Local Treasuries, approved by Royal Legislative Decree 2/2004, of March 5. The operation is framed as a credit supplement to the current budget, destined for financially sustainable investments.
Destination of funds
The bulk of the credit is concentrated in the municipal contribution to the PPOYS of Carrera de las Cruces, which absorbs 178,016.73 euros. The remainder is distributed among security and emergency equipment:
- €178,016.73 — supplement for the contribution to the PPOYS of Carrera de las Cruces.
- €25,000.00 — weapons and holsters for the Local Police.
- €1,950.00 — training material and mannequins for Civil Protection.
Financing and budgetary balance
The supplement is fully financed by the entry in income concept 870.00, corresponding to the treasury surplus for general expenses destined for financially sustainable investments, for the same amount of 204,966.73 euros. In this way, the budgetary modification maintains the balance between expenses and income without resorting to new debt.
Appeals and signature
Against the agreement, by virtue of article 171 of Royal Legislative Decree 2/2004, of March 5, interested parties may directly file a contentious-administrative appeal in the form and within the time limits established in articles 25 to 42 of Law 29/1998, of July 13, regulating said jurisdiction. Pursuant to article 113.3 of Law 7/1985, the filing of the appeal shall not by itself suspend the effectiveness of the contested act or agreement. The document appears electronically signed by the mayor-president, Mr. Jesús Rafael Lorente Fernández.
The definitive approval of this supplement allows Guadix to provide resources for sustainable investment projects and reinforce the equipment of its security and emergency services, in a fiscal year in which the municipality chooses to finance these actions with the accumulated treasury surplus instead of increasing its indebtedness.
