Guadalajara announces open competitive examination for two sports services assistant positions
Por FactBox Admin

The Guadalajara City Council has announced selective tests to fill, via open competition, two positions for sports services assistant as permanent labor staff. The call is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Guadalajara number 188, corresponding to Friday, October 2, 2026, and stems from the Decree of September 30, 2026, which approves the bases of the process. Applications may be submitted within twenty business days starting from the day following the publication of the call in the Official State Gazette.
The two vacancies correspond to the labor staff of the City Council, classified in group AAPP, and their filling was authorized in two different public employment offers: one in the 2025 fiscal year offer (BOP of Guadalajara number 109, of June 9, 2025) and another in the 2026 fiscal year offer (BOP of Guadalajara number 57, of March 24, 2026). The process is governed by Royal Legislative Decree 5/2015, of October 30, which approves the Revised Text of the Law of the Basic Statute of the Public Employee, Law 4/2011, of March 10, on Public Employment of Castilla-La Mancha, and Royal Decree 364/1995, of March 10, among other regulations.
The resolution was signed in Guadalajara on October 1, 2026, by the Delegated Department of Human Resources, Isabel Nogueroles Viñes, and is final in administrative proceedings.
Requirements, fee, and application deadline
Applicants must meet the required criteria on the day the application submission period ends and maintain them throughout the process:
- Possess Spanish nationality, without prejudice to the provisions of article 39 of Law 4/2011.
- Be at least sixteen years of age and not exceed the compulsory retirement age.
- Be in possession of, or in a position to obtain, the Schooling Certificate.
- Not be disqualified nor have been separated from service in any Public Administration.
Applications must be submitted exclusively and mandatorily electronically via the portal https://guadalajara.convoca.online/, completing the standardized form available on said website. The examination fee is 12.00 euros, with a 50% discount for those who prove more than six months of unemployment, who will pay 6.00 euros. Payment made after the conclusion of the application period will result in the exclusion of the applicant.
Two eliminatory exercises and qualifying tribunal
The selection system is an open competition, with two mandatory and eliminatory tests:
- First exercise: multiple-choice questionnaire of 80 questions plus four reserve questions, with four alternative answers and only one valid, in a maximum time of 90 minutes.
- Second exercise: practical case of 30 questions plus three reserve questions, in 30 minutes, regarding the municipal street map, location of sports facilities, public service, administrative support, and basic office automation.
The Examining Board will be chaired by the person designated by the Mayor’s Office, with a secretary from subgroup A1 who will act with a voice but without a vote, and four members: one designated by the Department of Public Administrations of the Regional Government of Castilla-La Mancha, two civil servants or contractual staff from the convening body, and one proposed by the municipal public employees. The order of appearance for the candidates will begin with the letter “Q”, in accordance with the Resolution of 11/26/2025 of the General Directorate of the Civil Service.
Job bank and appeals process
Upon completion of the selection process, a job bank will be formed consisting of those who have passed at least one exercise without obtaining a position, ordered by score and with priority for those who passed all tests. Excluded candidates will have a single, non-extendable period of ten business days to rectify their status, and those who are proposed will have twenty calendar days to submit the required documentation.
An optional appeal for reversal may be filed against the resolution before the Mayor-President within one month, or a contentious-administrative appeal may be filed before the Court of First Instance based in Guadalajara within two months.
The call opens a stable access route to municipal public employment in an area—sports—with a growing demand for personnel, and reinforces the permanent workforce of the Guadalajara City Council with two positions that will also feed a job bank for future substitutions.
