Parish festivals of As Pontes: 37,500 euros in grants for 2026
Por FactBox Admin

The City Council of As Pontes de García Rodríguez opens the call for grants for the 2026 parish and neighborhood festivals, endowed with 37,500 euros, according to the extract published in the Official Gazette of the Province of A Coruña (BOP) number 211 on November 4, 2026. The resolution driving it is number 1987/2026, dated October 23, from the councilwoman delegated to the Area of Urban Agenda, Tourism, Sport, and Economic Promotion, Elena López Seco. The announcement, with reference 2026/7101, is registered in the National Grants Database with the identifier BDNS 938945.
The regulatory bases were approved by decree and published in full in BOP number 208 on October 30, 2026 (announcement 2026/6963). The call is processed under a non-competitive concurrence regime, under article 19.2 of Law 9/2007, of June 13, on grants in Galicia, and the abbreviated procedure of its article 22, meaning that no evaluation body will intervene. The instruction corresponds to the municipal technical services, through the Culture Service, which review the files and formulate the resolution proposal.
Who can apply for the grants
- Festival committees of parishes or neighborhoods of a traditional nature and with proven continuity.
- Organizing neighborhood associations, provided they are duly registered in the municipal census of associations.
- Non-profit entities, with registered offices in the municipality of As Pontes and habitual activities within the municipal district.
- Committees that do not have any municipal grant from the previous year pending justification.
- Groups that have civil liability insurance in the name of the organizing entity.
The recognized committees act as responsible agents for the festival of their neighborhood or parish and must present a declaration with the identity of the representative person. This recognition does not exempt them from requesting the occupation of public roads nor from paying intellectual and artistic property costs (SGAE, DAMA and similar), as well as responding for damages that may occur during the show.
Amount and eligible expenses
The total endowment is 37,500 euros, charged to the budget application 2026.338.48904, and each application can reach a maximum of 2,500 euros, provided that the justified expenses reach that amount; if not, the grant is reduced proportionally. If the credit proves insufficient, the council may reduce the amounts by the necessary percentage to adjust them to the available funds, and the granting is conditioned on the existence of adequate credit at the time of the resolution.
The following will be eligible for grants:
- Hiring of cultural and fellowship activities.
- Promotional posters, advertising, and dissemination material with the collaboration of the City Council.
- Pyrotechnic shows and children’s activities.
- Civil liability insurance and copyrights.
- Rental of infrastructure: tents, generators, stages, and technical certifications.
Excluded are festivities in urbanizations or private-use communities, hospitality expenses, meals and catering, and any performance with sexist or discriminatory content.
Deadline, justification, and appeals
Applications shall be submitted only electronically through the municipal electronic office (sede.aspontes.com), with a single request per holder. The deadline is ten days starting from the day following the publication of the extract in the BOP, that is, from November 5th. The justifying documentation —invoices, classified list of expenses and income, bank certification, and proof of dissemination— is submitted at the same time as the application.
The maximum period to resolve and notify is six months; if there is no express resolution, the requests are understood to be rejected by administrative silence. The resolution exhausts the administrative route, and an optional appeal for reversal may be filed before the mayor within one month, or directly, a contentious-administrative appeal before the Contentious-Administrative Court of Ferrol.
Compatibility with other grants
The subsidy is compatible with other public or private contributions, but the sum can never exceed the cost of the justified activity nor 100% of the balance of expenses and income of the festival.
The call provides economic coverage to the neighborhood commissions that maintain the festive calendar of the parishes and neighborhoods of the municipality, entities that usually advance the payments for performances and infrastructure. The limit of 2,500 euros per application and the immediate justification of expenses condition the planning of these groups, who have ten days to formalize the request in the electronic office.
