Corrigendum corrects two trademarks published in La Gaceta

The Intellectual Property Registry corrected two unintentional errors made in factory, trade, and service marks already published in previous editions of La Gaceta, Official Gazette. The rectification appears in the Errata section of La Gaceta No. 174, corresponding to Thursday, September 24, 2026, on page 9345. The corrections affect registrations M2833 and M2883, originally disseminated in Gazettes 148-2026 and 154-2026.
The notice is issued “due to an unintentional error in the Factory, Trade, and Service Marks published in the Gazettes detailed below.” The Errata is inserted within the Intellectual Property Registry block, which in this edition of the official gazette opens on page 9331 with the publication of factory, trade, and service marks.
The Intellectual Property Registry acts under Law 380, Law of Trademarks and Other Distinctive Signs, the regulation invoked in the same section of the bulletin for registrations and notices of opposition. The rectification is presented in a table with seven columns: gazette number, publication date, registration number, file number, description of the data, incorrect text, and correct text.
First correction: trademark M2833
The first rectification corresponds to a mark published in Gazette 148-2026, dated August 12, 2026. The official registration data are as follows:
- Registration number: M2833.
- File number: 2026-000018 I.
- Description of corrected data: Summary.
- Incorrect text: “… con una calda de temperatura…”.
- Correct text: “… con una caída de temperatura…”.
This is a transcription error in the descriptive summary of the mark, which is replaced by the correct form in the rectified version.
Second correction: the applicant for trademark M2883
The second rectification affects a mark published in Gazette 154-2026, dated August 21, 2026. The corrected data is the identity of the applicant:
- Registration number: M2883.
- File number: 2026-001619.
- Description of corrected data: Applicant.
- Incorrect name: Mario José Arróliga Rodríguez.
- Correct name: Marlo José Arróliga Rodríguez.
The correction of the applicant’s name is the most legally significant of the two, as it identifies the person promoting the trademark registration before the General Directorate of the Intellectual Property Registry.
Scope of the rectification
Both corrections are published in the same issue of the official gazette and take effect over the files already opened. The Errata does not alter the registration numbers or the assigned file numbers, but only the incorrectly transcribed data in the original publications.
The official table records the gazette and the date on which each error was committed, so that any interested party can compare the previous text with the corrected one. The trademarks, trade names, and service marks published in this edition of the bulletin cover pharmaceutical, veterinary, cosmetic, textile, and food classes, among others.
The publication of the Errata closes the correction cycle for the two files and finalizes the data that will govern the registry. For applicants, proxies, and opposing third parties, the rectification is the valid reference against the publications of August 2026.
