Extremadura nombra funcionarias de carrera a dos maestras de la estabilización docente

The General Directorate of Teaching Personnel of the Regional Ministry of Education and Vocational Training of the Junta de Extremadura has declared Angélica Pavón Torreño and Raquel Iglesias Rodríguez fit in the internship phase, and proposes their appointment as career civil servants of the Corps of Teachers. The decision is formalized through the Resolution of September 24, 2026, published in the Official Gazette of Extremadura (DOE) No. 190, of October 1, 2026, in section II, Authorities and Personnel (official reference 2026062455).

The resolution closes the file of the extraordinary selective stabilization procedure by competitive examination convened by the Resolution of December 27, 2022 (DOE No. 249, of December 30), issued under Law 20/2021, of December 28, on urgent measures for the reduction of temporary employment in the public sector. That call was modified by the Resolution of October 25, 2023 (DOE No. 213, of November 7) and covered the corps of Secondary Education Teachers, Technical Vocational Training Teachers, Specialist Teachers in Singular Vocational Training Sectors, Official Language School Teachers, Music and Performing Arts Teachers, Plastic Arts and Design Teachers, Plastic Arts and Design Workshop Teachers, and the Corps of Teachers.

The two candidates had been appointed as civil servants in training by the Resolution of November 27, 2024 (DOE No. 236, of December 4). Subsequently, the Resolution of January 20, 2026 (DOE No. 19, of January 29) declared the persons selected in the process fit in the internship phase, with the exception of those listed in its Annex II, who were found unfit or were not evaluated for not completing the minimum required period.

The two candidates and their specialties

Both positions correspond to the Corps of Teachers (597) and access routes 1 and 2, according to the detail accompanying the resolution:

  • Angélica Pavón Torreño, specialty 031 – Early Childhood Education, with a total score of 08.1100.
  • Raquel Iglesias Rodríguez, specialty 038 – Primary Education, with a total score of 08.1095.

The General Directorate declares the two candidates fit after verifying that they meet the general and specific participation requirements provided for in the call.

Effects of the appointment and pending procedures

In accordance with base XXX of the call, the General Directorate of Teaching Personnel approves the file of the entry selection process and proposes to the Ministry of Education, Vocational Training and Sports the appointment of the two teachers as career civil servants of the Corps of Teachers, effective as of December 31, 2024, as well as the issuance of the corresponding titles.

The approved file will be made public in the Diario Oficial de Extremadura, and the lists of admitted persons will be sent to the Ministry with competencies in non-university Education for the purposes of their formal appointment. The resolution bears the signature of the Director General of Teaching Personnel, David Moreno Rego, and is dated in Mérida on September 24, 2026.

Deadlines for appeal

The resolution concludes the administrative process, therefore the following may be filed against it:

  • Optional appeal for reversal (reconsideration) within one month from the day following its publication, before the body that issued it, in accordance with articles 123 and 124 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, and articles 102 and 103 of Law 1/2002, of February 28, of the Government and Administration of the Autonomous Community of Extremadura.
  • Contentious-administrative appeal within two months from the day following its publication, before the High Court of Justice of Extremadura, according to articles 8, 14, and 46 of Law 29/1998, of July 13.

The closing of these two positions from the 2022 extraordinary process consolidates the status of career civil servants for two teachers who until now held internship positions, a step that directly affects Extremaduran teaching staff and the configuration of interim lists by freeing up positions provisionally covered in Early Childhood Education and Primary Education.
