Por FactBox Admin

The General Directorate of Labor of the Regional Government of Extremadura has granted 97,734.14 euros in the second 2026 call for subsidies destined for the removal of lightweight asbestos roofing and the installation of protection measures against falls from height. The resolution, dated September 28, 2026, is published in the Official Gazette of Extremadura (DOE) no. 191, of October 2, 2026, with the official reference 2026062473. Seven Extremaduran companies and cooperatives are listed as beneficiaries.
The grants are governed by Decree 49/2025, of June 3, which approves the regulatory bases, and by the call approved via Resolution of July 10, 2026, of the General Secretariat, published in the DOE no. 146, of July 30, 2026. The application deadline ended on August 20, 2026, and the Evaluation Commission was constituted on September 18, 2026, after its designation was made public by Resolution of August 25, 2026 (DOE no. 170, of September 2, 2026). The grant is awarded on a competitive basis and is subject to the de minimis regime of Regulation (EU) 2023/2831.
Seven beneficiaries and the distribution of funds
The total amount granted amounts to 97,734.14 euros, charged to the budget allocation 14012.325A.770.00, expenditure project 20240275 “Promotion for the protection of accident rates in Extremadura”, financed with funds from the Autonomous Community. The beneficiaries, in order of priority, are:
- Sociedad Cooperativa Local del Campo Consolación (AMP-09-2026): 10,028.64 euros, 30 points.
- Alfonso Cruz, S.L. (AMP-16-2026): 20,000.00 euros, 22.5 points.
- Ibérica Feeding Stuffs (AMP-01-2026): 20,000.00 euros, 22.5 points.
- Comercial Agropecuaria, SAT (AMP-21-2026): 20,000.00 euros, 22.5 points.
- Burmar Sweets (AMP-02-2026): 17,705.50 euros, 22.5 points.

- San Isidro de Miajadas, SCL (AMP-15-2026): 5,000.00 euros, 22.5 points.
Two eligible lines of action
The grants aim to protect workers exposed to asbestos and reduce accident rates due to falls from height. They are organized into two lines:
- Line 1: removal of lightweight roofing containing asbestos materials from workplaces, executed by a specialized company registered in the Registry of Companies with Asbestos Risk (RERA).
- Line 2: installation of fall protection measures for maintenance work on roofs, through permanent lifelines.
In the case of Hiper Tambo, S.L., the resolution reduces the eligible investment by 900.00 euros by excluding non-admissible expenses (technical walkways and simple twist mesh), subsidizing only the installation of lifelines in accordance with Article 5 of the regulatory bases.
Denied files
The resolution denies twelve files due to insufficient credit, despite exceeding the minimum score, including those of San Agustín de Obando, Soc. Coop. (AMP-07-2026), Novelec Badajoz, S.L. (AMP-20-2026), Desguace Solano (AMP-05-2026), Hierros Velasco y Camacho, S.L. (AMP-10-2026) and S. Coop. Ltda. Nuestra Señora del Prado de Casar de Cáceres (AMP-17-2026 and AMP-22-2026).
Additionally, Annex III lists seven applications denied for failing to meet the call requirements, such as Santa María y Entrearroyos, SL (AMP-12-2026) and Automoción Borrego-Vadillo, SL (AMP-24-2026), for not having the minimum of six notifications of the start of asbestos removal work, or Construcciones Eugenio Ruiz, S.L. (AMP-18-2026) and Cuadrado Aliseda, SL (AMP-19-2026), for not having the Work Plan required by Article 12 of Royal Decree 396/2006, of March 31, approved. The resolution states that no withdrawal of any application has been declared.
Deadlines, justification, and appeals
Beneficiaries have two months from the day following publication to justify the performance of the activities, with a period of ten business days to correct incomplete or defective documentation. They must prove compliance with their tax and Social Security obligations, communicate any modifications, and display an information sign regarding the funding by the Junta de Extremadura, except for grants under 6,000 euros. An administrative appeal (recurso de alzada) may be filed against the resolution, which does not exhaust administrative remedies, before the Regional Ministry of Economy, Employment and Digital Transformation within one month. The maximum period to resolve and notify was three months from the publication of the call.
The resolution, signed by the Director General of Labor, Pilar Bueno Espada, by virtue of the delegation approved by the Resolution of May 8, 2026 (DOE no. 90, of May 13), will also be published in the National Grants Database and on the Grants Portal of the Autonomous Community. For Extremaduran companies in the sector, the call confirms a flow of direct funding to eliminate a carcinogenic material from industrial roofs and reinforce safety against falls from height, one of the most lethal occupational risks.
