The TSJA appoints the chief justice of the peace of La Puebla de Cazalla
Por FactBox Admin

The Governing Chamber of the High Court of Justice of Andalusia (TSJA) has appointed Sandra Reyes Orellana as the titular justice of the peace of La Puebla de Cazalla (Seville), a municipality integrated into the judicial district of Morón de la Frontera. The agreement was adopted in the session held on September 22, 2026, and is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Seville number 191, corresponding to Thursday, October 1, 2026, with the official reference BOP-SE-2026-191033.
The appointment is formalized via an edict from the Government Secretariat of the TSJA, within the Administration of Justice section of the provincial gazette, on page 166 of a total of 167. The document is dated in Granada on September 28, 2026, and bears the signature of the Government Secretary, Pedro Jesús Campoy López.
The Agreement of the Governing Chamber
The edict states that, “by Agreement of the Governing Chamber of this High Court of Justice, in the session held on 09/22/2026, the individuals indicated have been appointed to hold the positions expressed below.” The text limits itself to identifying the judicial district and the position, without detailing the prior selection process.
The appointment corresponds to the judicial demarcation of Morón de la Frontera, one of those that structure the administration of justice in the province of Seville. Publication in the official gazette is the procedure that provides effectiveness and publicity to the agreement of the Governing Chamber.
Administrative Appeal before the General Council of the Judiciary
The edict itself opens the path for challenging the agreement:
- Administrative appeal (recurso de alzada) before the General Council of the Judiciary (CGPJ).
- A period of one month, counted from date to date.
- The count begins from the notification or from the publication in the corresponding Official Gazette of the Province.
This is the ordinary appeal provided against the agreements of the governing bodies of the courts, which places the final administrative word with the governing body of the judiciary.
A Round of Appointments in the Province
The designation of Sandra Reyes Orellana is added to others published in the same provincial gazette on immediately preceding dates, all derived from the same Governing Chamber session on September 22, 2026:
- José Sanz González, titular justice of the peace of Las Cabezas de San Juan, judicial district of Lebrija (BOP-SE-2026-190041, BOP number 190, of September 30, 2026, p. 214).
- Francisco Álvarez Coto, substitute justice of the peace of Las Cabezas de San Juan (BOP-SE-2026-190042, p. 215).
- Francisca Moguer Macías, titular justice of the peace of Umbrete, judicial district of Sanlúcar la Mayor (BOP-SE-2026-190043, p. 216).
- María Isabel Díaz Macías, substitute justice of the peace of Umbrete (BOP-SE-2026-190044, p. 217).
Added to this list is a previous appointment, agreed upon in the session of September 9, 2026, and published on September 22: María Carmen Carmona Carranza, titular justice of the peace of Peñaflor, in the judicial district of Lora del Río (BOP-SE-2026-184028, BOP number 184, page 137).
The figure of the justice of the peace is the judicial instance closest to the citizen in municipalities where there is no court of first instance and instruction. Their holders, with limited competencies in civil and small claims matters, are the first point of access to justice for many residents of the province.
