The Cantabrian Health Service publishes the provisional transfer resolution

The Official Gazette of Cantabria number 156, of August 14, 2026, publishes the provisional resolution of the second transfer cycle of the open and permanent transfer competition for the provision of basic positions of statutory staff of the Healthcare Institutions of the Cantabrian Health Service (SCS). The document, signed in Santander on August 10, 2026, by the Minister of Health, César Pascual Fernández, opens a period of ten business days to submit allegations and claims, withdraw the application, or remedy exclusions before the final award. The resolution bears the official reference CVE-2026-6495.

The procedure is framed within the Agreement of the Government Council regulating voluntary mobility through an open and permanent transfer competition, approved on March 2, 2023 (BOC no. 52, of March 15, 2023) and amended on April 25, 2024 (BOC no. 14, of April 26, 2024). On that basis, Order SAL/53/2024, of November 28, was issued, articulating a single call of an indefinite nature managed in successive award cycles. With the first cycle already processed, this resolution gives way to the second, based on the proposal made on July 13, 2026, by the General Manager of the SCS and in accordance with sections 9.3 and 9.5 of the Agreement.

Admitted and excluded

The resolution approves the provisional list of the competition and breaks it down into two annexes extending across 240 pages of the Gazette:

• Annex I: list of admitted applicants, indicating the score obtained by each participant.
• Annex II: list of excluded applicants, with the grounds for exclusion and the score obtained.

The competition affects more than one hundred statutory categories of Cantabrian healthcare institutions, including:

• Nursing: Nurse, Family and Community Nursing, Pediatric Nursing, Mental Health Nursing, and Occupational Health Nursing.
• Specialist physicians (FEA): 46 specialties, from Allergology, Anesthesiology and Resuscitation, Cardiology, or General and Digestive System Surgery to Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Psychiatry, Radiodiagnostics, and Urology.
• Other groups: Care Assistant, Auxiliary Nursing Care Technician, Midwife, Physiotherapist, Family Medicine Physician, Hospital Emergency Physician, Clinical Psychologist, Social Worker, and service staff (bricklayer, cook, driver, electrician, plumber, kitchen assistant, and similar).

Deadline to allege, withdraw, or remedy

Interested parties will have ten business days counted from the day following publication in the BOC, that is, until August 28, 2026, to:

• submit allegations or claims against the provisional resolution;
• withdraw their application; or
• remedy their exclusion in cases where applicable.

Writings should be addressed to the Department of Health and submitted at any of the registries provided for in section 5.4 of the Regulatory Agreement of the competition.

The provisional resolution is the step prior to the final resolution and the assignment of destinations, which will decide the voluntary mobility of professionals in hospitals and health centers in Cantabria. Those who do not take advantage of the objections window or do not remedy their exclusion will be left out of this cycle, so the established schedule directly conditions the transfer expectations of thousands of healthcare workers in the Cantabrian public system.
