El Palmar de Troya announces temporary employment grants totaling 20,308 euros
Por FactBox Admin

The City Council of El Palmar de Troya has opened the application period for the Program for the Prevention of Social Exclusion through temporary employment (PPES), endowed with a total budget of 20,308.54 euros provided entirely by the Provincial Council of Seville. The regulatory bases were approved by the Local Government Board in an ordinary session on October 13, 2026, and are published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Seville No. 205, dated October 22, 2026, with the official reference BOP-SE-2026-205018. Interested parties have 15 business days from that publication to submit their application.
The announcement is signed by the mayor-president, Juan Carlos González García, and is accompanied by the summary of the call sent to the National Grants Database with the identifier BDNS 936390 (summary no. 223300, published on page 125 of the same gazette). The program is part of the Provincial Plan for Social Cohesion and Equality 2024-2027, whose Annex 1.10 contains the granting bases for these subsidies, and derives from the Presidency Resolution No. 5829/2026, of August 20, 2026, of the provincial corporation.
Families without income and priority groups
The stated objective is to provide resources to families with serious socioeconomic problems through very short-term temporary employment contracts, allowing recipients to move beyond the threshold of extreme need. Eligible beneficiaries may include people at risk of exclusion living alone, members of family units with minors or dependents, families with young people who cannot afford university studies or vocational training cycles, women at risk of exclusion—with preference given to victims of gender-based violence—and other family units that meet the requirements.
The requirements are to be registered as a resident in the municipality as of January 1, 2026, prove unemployment status, and not exceed these income thresholds for the last twelve months:
- 1-member family: up to 10,800 euros (1.5 times the IPREM).
- 2-member family: up to 12,960 euros (1.8 times the IPREM).
- 3-member family: up to 15,120 euros (2.1 times the IPREM).
- 4-member family: up to 17,280 euros (2.4 times the IPREM).
- 5-member family: up to 19,440 euros (2.7 times the IPREM).
- For each additional member from the sixth onwards: an additional 0.30 times the IPREM.
Scale and selection body
The assessment is carried out using the social report and a scale that prioritizes the absence of income: a family with no income obtains 3 points, those with income below the threshold 2 points, and those in the upper bracket 1 point, while exceeding the limit leaves the application excluded. Points are added for being registered as a job seeker with the Servicio Andaluz de Empleo without having worked more than 180 days in the previous year, having a mortgage or rent exceeding 400 euros per month, having a court ruling or restraining order for gender-based violence, having three or more minors as dependents, a disability exceeding 33%, being a single-person family unit, being over 50 years old, and not having participated in the 2022 to 2024 editions.
The Technical Commission that will submit the final list by score will be composed of the social worker, the social educators, the equality agent, and a civil servant acting as secretary, all of them from the Ayuntamiento de El Palmar de Troya.
Deadlines, procedures, and contract duration
Applications are submitted at the General Registry or auxiliary offices, from 9:00 to 14:00 Monday to Friday, or via the electronic office 24 hours a day. Only one request per family unit is permitted, and the required documentation includes DNI or NIE, family book, proof of job seeking, employment history, comprehensive benefit certificate, and proof of income for the previous twelve months. Following the provisional list, there are five business days to rectify any errors.
The calling of beneficiaries is done in order of score via telephone call from the Human Resources department, with 24 hours to respond in writing. All contracts must be completed by December 31, 2027, and the tasks will have a special focus on community-based work, with the possibility of weekends and holidays during afternoon shifts.
Impact for the municipality
The call reaches a municipality with pockets of prolonged unemployment and offers an immediate source of income to family units that currently receive no income, in addition to small works of social interest for the town. The process is subject to the actual receipt of provincial funds and, if funding remains available after the hirings, the City Council would open a new application period under a second edition of the program.
