Por FactBox Admin

The Zamora Language Center Consortium has announced a job bank to fill vacant positions for the teaching of English. The resolution, signed by the consortium’s manager on October 1, 2026, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Zamora No. 116, corresponding to Monday, October 5, 2026, in section V, Other official announcements, with the official reference R-202602313.
The hiring of temporary labor personnel will be carried out under the Basic Statute of the Public Employee and applicable labor legislation, in order to meet personnel recruitment needs generated within the consortium. The process will be governed by the principles of equality, merit, capacity, and transparency, and its publicity will be channeled through the Official Gazette of the Province, the electronic headquarters of the language consortium, and its notice board.
Requirements and submission of applications
Applicants must meet the general requirements set forth in the call:
- Spanish nationality or nationality of a member state of the European Union, or assimilated cases of free movement of workers, spouses, and descendants.
- Legal residence in Spain with a work permit for foreigners not included in the previous sections.
- Not suffering from any illness or physical or psychological limitation incompatible with the performance of the duties.
- Being at least sixteen years of age and not exceeding the maximum compulsory retirement age.
- Not having been dismissed through disciplinary proceedings from any public administration nor being disqualified from public employment or positions.
- Not having been convicted by a final judgment for crimes against sexual freedom and indemnity, in accordance with LO 1/96, of January 15, on the Legal Protection of Minors.
- Holding a University Degree or Bachelor’s Degree.
Applications shall be addressed to the president of the consortium and submitted in person at San Torcuato Street, No. 43, Zamora, or through the channels provided for in article 16.4 of Law 39/2015, of October 1. They must be accompanied by a photocopy of the DNI or equivalent document, copies of the required degrees, documentation accrediting merits, and proof of experience. The submission period is twenty business days from the day following the insertion of the announcement in the Official Gazette of the Province.
A two-phase process: competitive examination and merit assessment
The selection procedure consists of a competitive examination phase, with a maximum of 6.00 points, and a merit assessment phase, with a maximum of 4.00 points, representing 40% of the total score. The competitive examination includes four mandatory and eliminatory exercises, with a minimum of 5 points required for each:
- Reading comprehension and use of English through seven texts: 90 minutes.
- Listening comprehension through four audio files: 40 minutes.
- Written expression through two essays: 90 minutes.
- Oral interview in English: 15 minutes.
The required level corresponds to C2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, with tests based on the C2 Proficiency exam from Cambridge Assessment English. In the competition phase, academic training and certifications are valued up to 2.00 points, and professional experience up to 2.00 points. Merits include the C2 English certificate (1.00 point), the C1 (0.50 points, not cumulative with the former), TEFL, TESOL, CELTA, or DELTA methodological degrees (0.50 points per degree), and accredited teaching in English (0.20 points per full year).
Grading Board and Validity of the Talent Pool
The grading board will be chaired by the director of the language consortium, with a secretary from the public administration staff and three members from the consortium’s permanent staff, all with a qualification equal to or higher than the one required. It may include expert advisors in the language subject of the call.
The talent pool will have an initial validity of two years from the publication of the final constitution resolution, extendable for one additional year without exceeding three years in total. The consortium may render it void or call for a new process before its expiration for reasons of public interest or organizational or teaching needs.
Call-ups, Withdrawals, and Appeals
Call-ups will be made by email with read confirmation or by telephone, following the order of precedence of the pool. The candidate will have three business days to accept or withdraw in writing; a lack of response or an unjustified withdrawal will result in automatically moving to the last place on the list. Justified causes include leave for birth or adoption, temporary disability, having a current employment contract, or performing political, union, or social representation functions.
Against the call, which ends the administrative route, an optional appeal for reversal may be filed within one month, or a contentious-administrative appeal before the contentious-administrative section of the Court of First Instance of Zamora within two months.
The call opens a temporary employment access route for English teachers and candidates for civil service exams in the province, who will have an ordered list of candidates for a maximum of three years. Inclusion in the pool does not generate a right to employment, but rather an expectation conditioned by the teaching needs of the Language Center Consortium of Zamora.
