The Teruel City Council announces 50,000 euros in daycare grants

The Teruel City Council has announced grants for a maximum total amount of 50,000 euros aimed at families with children from zero to three years old enrolled in nurseries or preschools in the city and its outlying districts. The call is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Teruel no. 181, dated September 22, 2026, with reference number 2026-2706, and opens a period of 20 business days to submit applications.

The objective declared by the council is to promote the reconciliation of work and family life for residents.

The rules governing these grants are the General Regulatory Ordinance of the Bases for Granting Subsidies by the Teruel City Council, initially approved by the Plenary Council on July 7, 2025. Who can apply

The following may be beneficiaries of these grants:

• Fathers, mothers, or legal guardians who are responsible for children or minors legally under their guardianship, from zero to three years old.
• Minors enrolled in nurseries or preschools in the City of Teruel or its outlying districts, provided that attendance at said centers is continuous.
• Minors registered (empadronados) in Teruel or its outlying districts prior to the date of publication of the summary, who must remain registered until, at least, the submission of the justification for the granted aid.
• Families whose children attend centers that hold the authorization for the opening and operation of private teaching centers in Aragon.

Amount and application deadline

The maximum total amount of the announced grants is 50,000.00 euros. The credit for the call may be increased, following the publication and determination of the specific additional amount, either because obligations derived from other calls for an amount lower than the granted subsidy have been recognized or settled, or as a result of the generation, expansion, or incorporation of credit.

This increase complies with the provisions of section 2 of article 58 of the Regulations of the General Subsidies Law, approved by Royal Decree 887/2006, of July 21, and article 42.2 of Legislative Decree 2/2023, of May 3, of the Government of Aragon, which approves the Recast Text of the Subsidies Law of Aragon.

Applications shall be submitted within a period of 20 business days starting from the day following the publication of the call in the Official Gazette of the Province of Teruel, as an official section of the Official Gazette of Aragon. If the last day of the period coincides with a non-working day, it shall be understood as extended to the next business day.

Publication and signature

The announcement is inserted in the Local Administration section, Municipalities subsection, under the heading of the Most Excellent City Council of Teruel, and appears electronically signed by the mayor María Emma Buj Sánchez in Teruel, on September 18, 2026. The document occupies pages 2 and 3 of the provincial gazette.

The call arrives at the very start of the school year and is added to other subsidy lines that the Teruel council processes through the same channel, such as those aimed at family units with celiac people or those with gluten intolerance, resolved this year through Decree No. 4185/2026.
