Education appoints provisional administrator in Hualpén school until February
Por FactBox Admin

The Superintendency of Education, a service dependent on the Ministry of Education, appointed Rubén Octavio Araya Vargas as the provisional administrator of the educational establishment Colegio Parque Central, RBD No. 11708-0, in the commune of Hualpén, Biobío Region. The decision is contained in exempt resolution No. 639, dated September 14, 2026, published as an extract in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Chile No. 44,585, of Wednesday, October 28, 2026, in Section II (Decrees, Resolutions, Requests, and Rules of Particular Interest), Particular Rules, under the official reference CVE 2891232.
The administrative act is published as an extract—that is, a summary of the content of the original resolution—within the section of the official bulletin dedicated to rules of particular interest. The measure applies to an educational establishment identified by its RBD No. 11708-0, the code with which the school system registers the school, and affects both the supporting entity and the families who depend on the campus in the commune of Hualpén.
Who assumes the position and whom they replace
The resolution identifies the provisional administrator and the entity that ceases to exercise the administration of the establishment:
- Rubén Octavio Araya Vargas, national identity card No. 7,425,647-3, appointed as provisional administrator of Colegio Parque Central.
- Corporación Educacional Naslar, RUT No. 65,153,826-2, the supporting entity replaced in its functions by the appointment.
- Colegio Parque Central, RBD No. 11708-0, commune of Hualpén, Biobío Region, the establishment regarding which the measure is exercised.
The figure of the provisional administrator implies that a person appointed by the supervisory service takes over the functions that corresponded to the supporting entity, such that the administrative leadership of the school is placed in the hands of the official appointed by the Superintendency of Education.
Validity of the appointment and end of the teaching work year
The extract specifies when the provisional administration begins and ends:
- The administrator assumes their functions as of the acceptance of the position before the Notary/Attesting Officer who notifies them of their appointment.
- They shall remain in these functions throughout the entire teaching work year, that is, until February 28, 2027.
- The above is established without prejudice to the legal powers of the administrative authority of the service to bring an early termination to the appointment.
In this way, the schedule of the measure is tied to the current academic cycle: the provisional administration extends for the remainder of the teaching work year and concludes, in principle, at the close of February 2027, unless the service decides to anticipate its conclusion.
Publication and signing authority
The text appears in Section II of the Official Gazette No. 44,585, spanning one page, and is signed by the head of the auditing unit:
- Sandra Pérez Vergara, Head of the Auditing Division, Superintendency of Education.
- Section II, Particular Regulations, of the Official Gazette No. 44,585, dated October 28, 2026, page 1 of 1.
- Official document reference: CVE 2891232.
The publication in the official bulletin constitutes the public record of the appointment and allows school communities and maintainers to know the exact terms of the act, including its effective date and duration.
The appointment of a provisional administrator at Colegio Parque Central directly affects the daily lives of the families who enroll their children in the establishment and alters the relationship between the school and its maintainer, the Corporación Educacional Naslar. For the guardians in Hualpén, the measure means that the administrative leadership of the facility passes into the hands of an official appointed by the Superintendency of Education and that this situation will remain in place, at least, until February 28, 2027.
