Daimiel publica la lista provisional de cinco plazas de Policía Local

The Daimiel City Council has approved the provisional list of admitted and excluded applicants for the open competitive examination process to fill five Local Police positions in group C1. The resolution from the Mayor’s Office, dated October 16, 2026, and signed by Mayor Leopoldo J. Sierra Gallardo, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Ciudad Real number 201, dated October 19, 2026, under announcement number 3362. Excluded individuals have ten business days to correct the defects that led to their exclusion or to submit appeals.

The call for applications was approved by Mayoral Decree No. 2026/755, dated August 26, 2026, the regulatory bases of which were published in full in the Official Gazette of the Province of Ciudad Real number 167, dated September 1, 2026. The five positions belong to the Special Administration Scale, Special Services Subscale, Local Police class, Basic Scale, Police category, group C, subgroup C1, and are included in the 2025 Public Employment Offer. The selection system is an open competitive examination via an open shift.

The process is governed by Law 8/2002, of May 23, on the Coordination of Local Police of Castilla-La Mancha; Decree 110/2006, of October 17, as amended by Decree 37/2026, of July 7; and Royal Legislative Decree 5/2015, of October 30, which approves the revised text of the Basic Statute of Public Employees Law. The positions are endowed with the salary of group C1, two extraordinary payments, triennials, a specific supplement of 779.92 euros per month, and a destination supplement of 493.86 euros per month.

One hundred twenty-three admitted and fifty-four excluded

The resolution approved by the Mayor’s Office contains two lists. The first, of provisionally admitted applicants, includes 123 people, identified by surnames, first name, and the last four digits of their national identity document. The second, of provisionally excluded applicants, affects 54 people, as one of them, RUIZ ZAMORA, ADRIÁN, appears in two entries for different reasons.

  • Provisionally admitted: 123 applicants.
  • Provisionally excluded: 54 people (55 entries, one duplicate).
  • Positions called: 5, from the Basic Scale, Police category, subgroup C1.
  • Selection system: open competitive examination, open shift.

Driver’s licenses and documentation, main causes of exclusion

The reasons listed in the excluded list refer to the requirements demanded in the bases: Spanish nationality, legal age, a High School diploma or Vocational Training Technician qualification, and possession of class B and A or A2 driver’s licenses, among others. The most repeated causes are as follows:

  • Failure to provide the application for participation in the tests or submitting it unsigned.
  • Failure to provide a copy of the national identity document.
  • Failure to prove possession of a Class B driver’s license.
  • Failure to prove possession of a Class A or A2 driver’s license, or having an expired one.
  • Failure to provide the required academic qualification.
  • Failure to present proof of payment of fees or paying an incorrect amount.

Ten business days to remedy

The resolution orders the publication of the provisional list in the Official Gazette of the Province of Ciudad Real, on the Digital Notice Board of the Daimiel City Council, and on the municipal website (www.daimiel.es), stating the causes for exclusion. The period for remedy is ten business days starting from the day following the publication of the resolution, in accordance with section 4.1 of the regulatory bases of the selection process.

The announcement reminds that the resolution concludes the administrative route and that an optional appeal for reversal may be filed before the Mayor’s Office-Presidency within one month, or a contentious-administrative appeal before the Contentious-Administrative Court of Ciudad Real within two months.

The publication of this provisional list is the first real filter of the process: it determines who will be able to take the exam for the five officer positions in a municipality that is reinforcing its police force with a call included in the 2025 employment offer. Excluded applicants who do not remedy their situation within the deadline will be left out of the competitive examination, while the 123 provisionally admitted candidates must stay tuned for the next announcement from the Daimiel City Council, which will set the date, place, and tribunal for the exercise.
