Creixell convoca una borsa urgent d'agents interins de la policia local

The Local Government Board of the Creixell City Council approved on September 9, 2026, the bases and the call to establish a pool of interim agents for the Local Police, via an urgency procedure and through an open competitive examination. The announcement, signed by Mayor Montserrat Muñoz Madueño, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Tarragona on September 14, 2026 (reference CVE 2026-08465, pp. 1-19), and opens a application period of ten business days starting from the day after publication.

The call responds to the need to cover vacancies, substitutions, medical leaves, and justified absences, as well as seasonal reinforcements, to ensure the provision of an essential public safety service. The positions are classified within the special administration scale, special services sub-scale, basic scale, qualification group C1, and are governed by Decree 233/2002, of September 25, which approves the Regulation on access, promotion, and mobility of local police, and by Law 16/1991, on local police.

Requirements and documentation

Applicants must meet a series of conditions to take part in the process:

  • Hold Spanish nationality and be at least 18 years old without exceeding the compulsory retirement age.
  • Possess a baccalaureate degree, technical degree, or equivalent or higher.
  • Accredit Catalan language knowledge at level B2 (or pass a specific eliminatory test).
  • Hold a valid class B driver’s license.
  • Not have been convicted of a crime nor disqualified from exercising public functions.

The application must be submitted through the municipal electronic office or via the means specified in article 16.4 of Law 39/2015, accompanied by a CV, ID (DNI), degree, driver’s license, criminal record certificate, and proof of payment, mandatory in PDF format. The examination fee is €30.00, with a 100% reduction for unemployed persons, and must be paid to the account IBAN ES53 2100 1438 0102 0000 6664.

The selection process

The procedure consists of a preliminary phase of Catalan language knowledge and an opposition phase with several tests:

  • Cultural test: a questionnaire of 20 multiple-choice questions in 30 minutes, with a maximum of 10 points and a minimum of 5 to pass.
  • Physical aptitude test: speed, leg power, arm strength, and endurance, with scales differentiated by gender and age, up to 20 points (minimum 10).
  • Psychotechnical test: a battery of aptitude and personality tests, graded as fit or unfit.
  • Competency interview: mandatory and eliminatory, scored between 0 and 5 points (minimum 2.5).
  • Medical examination: mandatory and eliminatory.

The maximum score for the opposition phase is 35 points, and for the competition phase, 3 points, where work experience, academic qualifications, related courses, and a Catalan language level higher than B2 are valued.

Constitution and operation of the job bank

Once the tests are completed, the tribunal will publish the scores in descending order and a job bank will be established with a maximum validity of two years, or until a new one is created. The call will be made in order of score, through a maximum of two phone calls and one email, and the refusal of a first appointment entails the loss of the position in the job bank.

The call, processed with urgency to ensure agility in filling positions essential for the continuity of the public security service, represents an opportunity for access to local public employment for those who meet the requirements. Interested parties have ten business days from the publication in the bulletin to submit their application through the electronic office of the Creixell City Council.
