Coria del Río creates job pools after the stabilization of positions.
Por FactBox Admin

The Coria del Río City Council has approved the creation of four employment pools —Driver Officer, Drafter, Guard, and Parks and Gardens Laborer— to temporarily cover future staffing needs. The measure, adopted by means of Resolution No. 2529/2026, of August 3, of the Municipal Delegation of Human Resources, Internal Affairs and Cleaning, is published in the Official Bulletin of the Province of Seville No. 156, of August 13, 2026, with reference BOP-SE-2026-156007.
The pools are created once the selective stabilization process has concluded through the merit-based competition system within the framework of Law 20/2021, of December 28, which allowed the highest-scoring applicants from a total of 16 positions to be declared permanent staff: 6 Driver Officers, 1 Drafter, 7 Guards, and 2 Parks and Gardens Laborers. Those positions were announced by resolutions of the Delegation published in the provincial bulletin between February 2025 and June 2026. The members of the new pools are the people who did not obtain a position, ordered from highest to lowest score, and may be called for appointments as interim civil servants or temporary labor contracts.
The resolution, issued by the deputy mayor-delegate Silvia Gracia Galán and signed by the mayor Modesto González Márquez, reflects what was negotiated by the General Negotiating Board on July 20, 2026, which incorporated the Driver Officer pool as a complementary proposal. The framework is based on rule 13 of the call, approved by Resolution No. 5122/2022, of December 29.
Four pools and more than a hundred applicants
The published lists include 103 applicants distributed as follows:
- Driver Officer: 40 members, headed by Antonio Ramírez Díaz (22 points).
- Drafter: 5 members, headed by María Regla Álvarez Centeno (27.20 points).
- Guard: 23 members, headed by Jorge Manuel Jiménez Vallejo (19.20 points).
- Parks and Gardens Laborer: 35 members, headed by Martitha Ledesma Robles (42.50 points).
Calls will be made strictly following the score order of each list. To ensure speed, at least two of these means of contact will be used:
- two phone calls, with at least five hours between them;
- a WhatsApp message on the same day as the second unsuccessful call, with confirmation before 07:00 hours the following day;
- email, with a response within two business days;
- notice on the notice board of the municipal Electronic Office.
Operation and validity of the lists
Those who receive an offer have three business days to submit the supporting documentation; if they do not, they move to the end of the pool, and three refusals without justified cause in one year lead to expulsion. Applicants who are appointed or hired are removed from the pool and re-enter it in their position at the end of the employment relationship, while voluntary resignation, unless duly justified, places them in last place. Taking up the post or signing the contract must take place within seven calendar days.
The pools will have a maximum validity of three years, will be automatically extended if no new ones are constituted, and every two years a period may be opened to update merits. The City Council will periodically inform union representatives of the hires made.
Publication and appeal routes
The resolution has been published in the provincial bulletin, on the notice board of the municipal Electronic Office (https://sede.coriadelrio.es/) and on the Corporation’s Transparency Portal. Against the resolution, which puts an end to the administrative route, a reconsideration appeal may be filed within one month of its publication and, subsequently or directly, a contentious-administrative appeal.
The creation of these pools offers more than a hundred applicants from Coria del Río and its region an orderly and transparent path to temporary municipal employment, with guarantees of equality by score and a horizon of three extendable years, in a municipality where local public employment remains one of the main sources of stable work.
