Écija sets the price for the private spot at the PRODIS day center

The Governing Council of the Local Public Administrative Agency for the Care of Persons with Disabilities of Écija and its Region “PRODIS” has finalized the agreement establishing the public price for the Care Service at the Day Center for persons with disabilities, following the conclusion of the public exhibition period without any claims being filed. The decision is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Seville number 168, Monday, August 31, 2026, with reference BOP-SE-2026-168010.

The agreement was approved by the Governing Council in an Extraordinary and Urgent Session held on June 4, 2026, and initially published in the BOP of Seville number 111, on June 11, 2026. The public price is set at €1,296.45/month for a privately occupied place, and shall enter into force on the same day of its publication in the provincial gazette.

A price aligned with the contracted place

The approved amount coincides with the cost of the contracted place stipulated for day centers, set at €1,296.45/month according to the Official Gazette of the Regional Government of Andalusia number 99, of May 26, 2026. The economic report based on actual cost-per-user for the 2026 financial year amounts to €2,653.82, such that the difference between the actual cost and the price of the place approved by the Regional Government is covered by the municipal contribution of the Most Excellent City Council of Écija, with the allocation detailed in the municipal budget.

The price is established in accordance with the amounts appearing in the economic cost report issued by the Administrative Manager of the Agency and audited by the Acting Comptroller dated March 13, 2026.

Regulatory framework and validity

The establishment of the public price is supported by articles 41 to 47 of Royal Legislative Decree 2/2004, of March 5, which approves the Recast Text of the Law Regulating Local Treasuries. The price shall remain in force from its publication until its express modification or repeal.

Appeals against the agreement

Against the agreement, which exhausts administrative remedies, a request for reversal (recurso de reposición) may be filed prior to contentious-administrative proceedings, as regulated in article 14.2 of the Recast Text of the Law Regulating Local Treasuries, in relation to article 108 of Law 7/1985, of April 2, on the Bases of Local Government, within one month from the day following the publication of the announcement. Against the resolution of the request for reversal, only a contentious-administrative appeal may be filed, within two months, pursuant to article 46 of Law 29/1998, of July 13, regulating the Contentious-Administrative Jurisdiction.

The decision directly affects the families using the service, who will pay for the private placement an amount significantly lower than the actual cost of the service, thanks to the budgetary effort of the Écija City Council, thus guaranteeing access to day care for people with disabilities in the region.
