Ceuta creates a pool of twenty social workers via SEPE
Por FactBox Admin

The Autonomous City of Ceuta will send a job offer to the SEPE Office to request 20 candidates for Social Worker and thus create a job pool to cover vacancies that arise in the social sector. This is stated in the public information published in the Official Gazette of the City of Ceuta (BOCCE) No. 6,646, dated August 25, 2026, under number 595, in the Authorities and Personnel section.
The initiative originates from the Ministry of Presidency and Governance, whose head, Alberto Ramón Gaitán Rodríguez, signed the announcement on August 18, 2026. The pool is intended to cover vacant positions for career civil servants and contractual staff resulting from retirements, temporary disability leaves, or other circumstances in categories where the City does not have available job pools.
Regulatory Framework and Procedure
The measure is based on the agreement of the General Negotiation Table of May 12, 2025, by which the General Directorate of Human Resources and Administration covers essential services when leaves and incidents occur without an available pool. Appointments will be made as interim civil servants in accordance with Article 10 of the TREBEP, or Article 15 of the Workers’ Statute in the case of contractual staff.
Once 5 business days have passed since the publication of the announcement in the BOCCE, the job offer will be sent to the SEPE Office. The provisional and final scoring of the candidates will be published on the digital notice board of the Autonomous City of Ceuta.
Scoring Criteria
The evaluation of applicants is organized into two blocks of merits, with a maximum of 12 points each:
- Experience (max. 12 points): 1 point per year in any Public Administration, up to 8 points; and 1 point per year in a public entity, public commercial company, or private sector, up to 4 points.
- Training (max. 12 points): 0.1 points for every 10 lecture hours of training or professional development courses, up to 5 points; 6 points for higher regulated and official training; and 1 point for having passed the competitive examination phase of a call in the last five years.
In the event of a tie, it will be resolved based on the longest seniority as a job seeker.
Relevance for Readers
The creation of this pool represents a direct employment opportunity for social sector professionals in Ceuta, while ensuring the agile coverage of essential services in the face of retirements and leaves. Interested parties should keep an eye on the City’s digital notice board to learn the provisional and final scoring of the candidates.
