Cervo publica 14 admitidos e dous excluídos na praza de técnico administrativo

The Cervo City Council has approved the provisional list of persons admitted and excluded from the selection process to fill one position for administrative technician of Economic Promotion, Tourism, and Social Networks (subgroup C1). The resolution, signed by Mayor María Dolores García Caramés on September 25, 2026, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Lugo no. 224, of September 30, 2026, with reference R. 2582, leaving 14 admitted applicants and 2 excluded.

The call stems from Mayoral Decree no. 2026-0746, of August 19, 2026, which approved the bases, and the announcement was published in the BOP de Lugo no. 194, of August 26, 2026, with a deadline of ten business days to submit applications. The position, vacant in the 2026 municipal staff, is included in the public employment offer for that year (Mayoral Decree 2026-0187, BOP de Lugo no. 065, of March 21, 2026) and is processed under file 1526/2026.

The process follows the abbreviated simplified competition-examination procedure in the open category and fills the position through appointment as an interim civil servant under article 10.1.a) of the TREBEP. The bases also provide for the creation of an employment pool linked exclusively to the position, to cover temporary vacancies and substitutions.

Fourteen admitted and two excluded

The report from the Information and Registry Office of the Cervo City Council collects 16 applications, fifteen of them submitted within the established deadline (from August 27 to September 9, 2026) and one outside the deadline. The resolution approves the provisional list with 14 admitted persons and two excluded.

Among those admitted, eleven certify knowledge of Galician and three do not:

  • Carolina Díez Fernández
  • Tania Gutiérrez Cuba
  • Brennan Irene Jackson

The two exclusions respond to different reasons:

  • Ana Isabel Arce Ruzo: submitted the application outside the deadline established in the fifth base of the bases and in the announcement of the BOP de Lugo no. 194.
  • Cristina Sanmartín Díaz: did not submit Annex I, the application form and declaration required in the fifth base.

Five business days to appeal or amend

The resolution grants a non-extendable period of five business days to submit appeals against the provisional list and to amend the detected defects, counted from the day following the publication in the BOP de Lugo. Anyone who does not correct the causes for exclusion within this period will be definitively excluded from the process.

Once the amendment period has elapsed, and within a maximum of one month, the Mayor’s Office will approve the final list of admitted and excluded applicants. The same resolution will include the nominal designation of the tribunal and the date, time, and place for the Galician language test and the theoretical-practical test.

The decree orders the publication of the resolution in the BOP of Lugo, on the physical notice board, and on the electronic headquarters of the Cervo City Council. The acting secretary, María Eugenia Piñeiro Díaz, countersigns the document.

The publication starts the clock for the applicants and establishes the first filter of a process arising from the 2026 public employment offer, which is resolved via interim appointment. For the residents of Cervo, the filling of this subgroup C1 position reinforces the Economic Promotion, Tourism, and Social Networks service, while the associated employment pool will allow for the coverage of future absences without repeating the entire selection procedure.
